About

My Upsy Daisy Shop

Everything you buy here is upcycled from some piece of clothing...mostly sweaters! For hats, cocoons, bowls and blankets I use soft, stretchy knitted and crocheted sweaters in every kind of brand. EVERY ITEM is RTS! Ready to Ship!

I love finding some kind of use for all parts of the sweaters...I even use them for those crafty projects the teacher sends home with my 1st grader! I hope you love my stuff and be sure to join my Facebook page at www.facebook.com/upsydaisyprops so you will get new listing notifications in your newsfeed.

I am striving to make my business unique to meet your needs. Here is what I do to strive to be different:

1. There are not many prop makers where you can go to a shop and have over a hundred items to choose from, ready to ship (RTS). I do this so that you always know that you can find something in the color you need and know that you will get it quickly. There are usually either prop makers out there who make your item as it is ordered, and so you wait…or other upcycled prop makers who have RTS, but it is limited to only a few items available, and usually go quickly. I have decided to maintain a large stock of items to hopefully be your “go-to” shop to check when you need something.

2. I know people like OOAK (one of a kind), but to be different, I actually make 2 of most items in order to have a large inventory available for your twin shoots. You can usually find 1/3 of my items to have a quantity of 2, and I sometimes make the same sweater into a girly hat and boyish hat and sell them as a set. If you need something for a triplet set, I will try and make something for you, or usually I can dig out the remainder of the sweater of a hat you like on Etsy, and make one or two more of the same. Most hats come from the sleeves of sweaters, but I can use my sewing machine to make hats from the other parts for a triplet shoot.

3. To be different, I try to not overpost on Facebook and spam your newsfeeds. I actually hate seeing 6 posts all crammed up on my newsfeed from the same business, day after day. So that is a commitment I make. And the reason I do it is because I don’t want you to hide me. Facebook is the avenue I use to tell you there is new product available. I try and adhere to only 2 posts of any kind per week on FB.

4. Every item I offer will be upcycled. I will disclose if part of it isn’t…like an elastic band or silk flower…but that is what my goal is. I can’t even throw away old sweaters because I keep finding more uses for them. I can’t stand to waste. But hey, my craft room is in my unfinished basement and not “Pinterest” worthy, but oh the beautiful sweaters I have piled up everywhere! It is my happy place!

Thank you so much for supporting my little business!

I ship only Priority Mail. As a busy mom, I had to make the decision to not go to the post office. They won't let you send out packages from your mail box anymore, unless they are Priority! Ugh! So, $5 is charged for the first item and all other items are free. I can't ship more than 4 items in a small box, so when you order more than that many items, I am picking up the rest of the shipping cost as a thank you for a large order!
Also, to my Canadian fans...I will ship to Canada, but Priority Mail small box is $12.95 and I cannot pick up the shipping for more items because the next size box jumps to over $30. So please contact me with the items you want to buy and I will determine shipping for you and make you a Custom order. Just FYI...my Fringe Blankets will not fit in a small Priority mail box. So, that would require the next size box.
