Taking it easy with a great book and a hot cup of tea...
I have always loved reading and was completely fluent by the first grade. I also enjoy relaxing with a hot cup of tea. I decided to merge my two loves together and created a theme surrounding my passions. I wanted my shop name to be elegant yet personal since everything in my shop is handmade by me and alas, Uptown Yvette was born!
I am very creative in several areas. I have an extensive background in cosmetics from theatrical makeup to t.v. and film. I am also a personal trainer and enjoy creating items for exercise enthusiasts. In my spare time, I love to do counted cross stitching which I have learned from my mother and grandmother. I firmly believe that with anything artistic, one should enjoy the process and not just the end result.
I am thrilled and very proud that my creations are being enjoyed by people all around the world! Thank you very much for taking the time to visit my shop!

Frequently asked questions
What does "this order is a gift" at checkout mean?
It means that the receipt that goes inside of the packaging will be printed without prices. Buyers located outside of Canada should be aware that customs requires both the price and product type on the exterior of the packaging. There is no way around this.
Are items placed in my cart reserved for me?
No, they are not. Multiple shoppers can have the same item placed in their cart and anyone can make the purchase at any given time.
