Born to Bead and Design

I started my shop to satisfy my creative side. I was newly retired and wanted something find something to do. I found that I enjoyed working with my hands and putting colors and textures together to create unique pieces of jewelry. I am still dabbling in different methods of design to create these pieces.

I started out by taking a couple of jewelry making classes. From there, I sold some of my things via bazaar's and via word of mouth. I got good feedback.

My most popular item is my Seahawk seed bead bracelet. When I first started making them, it took me around six hours to make one bracelet. Now I have the process down to half of that time!!

I eventually opened my Etsy shop about a year ago. I learned so much from that process! Taking good picture's of the items you are selling is important. It took time to find good backgrounds for the pictures in order to make the item pop. Finding the right words to describe my jewelry was also a learning process.

I did take this past summer off and now I am ready to jump in with both feet to promote my Etsy site and my jewelry.

Wish me luck!!
