I guess I'll go neutral since that's what was left for me.

Not only did Emma do me a good deal on the drawing but the picture was drawn quickly and amazing-ly. I wish I had her talent.

bringing animal energy to you | artist | pathworker | urban animal

Hello m'dears and deers!

My passions are art and animals, and here at 'urbanimal' I strive to combine them both to create vibrant and unique animal portraits that are waiting to find a home with you.

I'm Emma-Jayne Saanen, a thirty-something daydreamer, druid and wannabe polymath. I enjoy making and creating in every aspect of my life. I spend much of my free time volunteering in conservation, or buried in a good book. You can learn more about me over at my website: http://urbanimal.starshards.com/about/

"By being animal, one fully understands what it is to be human".

Animal illustration is my artistic love. I am passionate in my attempts to convey the energy of an animal through my artwork. I devote time working with the essence of an animal's energy before committing pen and ink to paper.

As a thank you to the animals that inspire me, I donate 10% my profits to one of the charities I support.

*Please read all of my policies, and ask questions before buying*

I share my home with my cat Lucy, my rats Bridget and Felicity and a very hairy significant other, so if you have really strong allergic reactions please consider this when buying from me.

I retain the copyright to all of my work. This is non-negotiable. Copyright never transfers along with the sale of artwork.

This means I can use images in my portfolio, and reproduce my work for prints etc. (Except in the case of commissions, where I will not sell prints of the work)

Any work I sell you can be used privately/for your own uses.

If you wish to use the work commercially (e.g. on a website, for a poster and so on), please speak with me to arrange a licensing agreement. This will increase the price of the work.

I consider taking on private and commercial commissions. Feel free to contact me with your request.
