The following items can't be returned or exchanged
Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:
  • Custom or personalized orders
  • Perishable products (like food or flowers)
  • Digital downloads
  • Intimate items (for health/hygiene reasons)
Returns and exchange details
If you have read our shop philosophy, you will know that we are extremely aware that sometimes things fall apart! Our items are quite sturdy and will hold up to normal wear. However, we will be happy to make repairs if necessary and we are able to. Buyer will be responsible for payment of shipping back to Urbex Archaeology, and Urbex Archaeology will pay return shipping of the repaired item. Our items are one-of-a-kind, and as such we cannot guarantee replacements due to irreparable damage or postal loss.
Payment
We currently only accept payment via PayPal or by credit card directly through Etsy checkout. Payment is expected within five days of your purchase. Your state sales tax will automatically be added to your purchase at checkout.
Shipping
Mail out occurs one random day per week at minimum, though we will always attempt to mail your item as quickly after your order as possible - if you require your order by a specific date, please convo us before purchasing to make sure we can accommodate you. We currently ship via USPS First Class Ground in a bubble mailer - we do ship worldwide, convo us for a shipping quote! We can also ship via Priority Mail, please convo us for information before completing your purchase. Postal insurance and delivery confirmation are not included in the shipping charge, but may be added upon request for additional cost. Multiple jewelry and accessories items may be shipped together, shipping may be adjusted for multiple pieces.

If you live in the Chicago area, please convo me before making your purchase and we can make arrangements for hand-delivery if you prefer.
Additional policies and FAQs
All or most components of each Urbex Archaeology piece were scavenged from abandoned buildings, chanced upon at the side of the road, or otherwise reclaimed upon being discarded by the City. Time and nature have caused them to become more beautiful - rusty, corroded, pitted, sharp-edged. All risk of injury, skin reaction, or any other harm that may result from our pieces is assumed by the wearer.

All metals will rust, patinate, oxidize or otherwise change color over time and with exposure to the elements and the natural oils in your skin. This constant slow evolution is normal, inevitable, and beautiful. However, wearing your urban artifact in the shower or pool, or storing it in a humid environment such as your bathroom, will speed this process.

Please note that due to lighting and color settings, colors shown may not appear exactly as they are in real life. We've done our best to take pictures that represent the colors accurately, but there may be some slight variation.
