I ordered the custom sign as a gift. I was given two awesome options quickly. The one I chose arrived quickly, beautifully wrapped and the recipients loved it! I couldn't be happier and will purchase from Ursula Dodge again! Thank you!

I love it. Well done artwork and I'm happy it's in the form of a magnet, so I can enjoy in my kitchen. Thank you.

About

Chapter Three: Making magnets that make people happy.

Chapter One:
Ursula started in 1989 creating hand glazed ceramic tile that she sold to gourmet stores and galleries all over the country. Six years later Eric joined the company and they traveled far and wide selling the tiles and mosaics at art fairs, filling wholesale orders when they were home. Tiring of the romantic gypsy life on the road, painting with blobby glazes and working with heavy, fragile material, a company in California proposed Ursula design for them. Ursula and Eric move to Montana.
Chapter Two:
Life in Montana was a beautiful adventure. Licensed artwork paid the bills, there was a break from running a production studio, the weimaraners were alive, horses joined the family and Eric learned to cook. If you observe the hero's journey you know the second chapter has to end in a place of uncertainty, a little dark, on the razor's edge. After about six years of bliss and prosperity, the company in California changed gears, the economy tanked, someone got sick, some animals died. The Montana dream came to an end.
Chapter Three:
After a period of despair, grief and loss there is renewal, but it's a flame that needs to be fanned. Deciding to return to their roots as a production studio, this time around there was a list of criteria. 1) Stay small, fat & happy. 2) The subject matter had to be a source of joy and happiness and laughter. Something that reminded people there is love. 3) The material had to be lightweight (for shipping) and inexpensive (hello economy). Dog Magnets! Ursula and Eric took the first samples to a local store, which bought them outright and asked for more. Now they ship magnets, cards, prints and coasters to 400 stores. Ursula does the artwork, design, printing, sourcing, communicating, dog spoiling and horse training. Eric packs the orders, built the live/work studio, runs to the post office, loads the show booth, goes to the bank, grows the kefir and keeps the family nourished. They have new relationships with manufacturers in the U.S. so they can offer Ursula's artwork on a variety of products too large for them to make in their studio. They are committed to staying small and being present. Moral of the story: Practice gratitude, it's essential. Be kind, be kind, be kind.

Payment
We print your artwork when you order it, and we ship etsy orders about every 5 to 7 days. We can ship more quickly than that so convo us if you have a special need. Everything except the textiles are made here in our studio in Aiken, South Carolina. The textiles take about 5 business days to print/sew and then they ship to you via whatever service is most cost effective and best.
Shipping
We ship most items via first class mail. We package products carefully and attractively and would be happy to enclose a note if it's a gift. Just let us know in the "notes to seller" at checkout. We wrap everything in colorful tissue which looks pretty nifty with our embossed gold foil label.

At this time etsy does not offer a sliding scale postage charge so we charge a flat $5 which covers all the prints via first class mail. That is way too much if you're only ordering one magnet, or a set of coasters or a pack of notecards. So we will refund part of the $5 depending on the weight and quantity of your order. You will actually pay something like this:

Magnet $3 shipping plus about .50 per each additional. For customers that order in quantity i usually upgrade to priority mail. It depends on how much money is available from the shipping charges. I try to make wise choices using your money and refund the excess.
Coaster set $3 shipping per set
Notecard set $3 shipping per set. .75 for each additional.

Sorry if this seems confusing but we thought it better than doing a listing for every single product for every single image, we'd rather have one listing per image and offer you more images!
Refunds and Exchanges
We want you to be 100% happy with your purchase. If something isn't right, let us know and we will work to solve it. Our items are rarely damaged in shipping as we pack them carefully and have been doing this for many years (since 1989). If you are ordering a large item over $100 we recommend you pay for insurance.
