A funny, special necklace made with a vintage brooch, I love it, and enjoy to wear it in the summer...one of my favourite shops...

About

From journalism to jewelry design: long and winding road

At the moment I am a full time jewelry designer and maker.
But this wasnt always the case: I studied photo journalism, journalism and sociology, and I have worked in these fields for a lot of years.

Jewelries arrived to my life in 2002 - at the age of 27 - and I havent stopped since then. I enjoy the constant learning, experiements and challenges that the management of my own studio shop can give.

I am in love with soft and colorful fabrics, and I also love to combine them with all sorts of other materials like glass, metal, plastic - or even found objects I find on flea markets.

My new love is silversmithing: as a high school student I dreamt of studying silversmithing - and so I did a few years later. Since I am a beginner in silversmithing I plan to learn as much as I can, and plan to use this knoweldge in my designs in the future.

My studio is in the very heart of Budapest, close to Astoria metro station, and I am really happy to be part of a wonderful initiative "Paloma: Contemporary Creative Project". Paloma is a contemporary creative project in downtown Budapest, in the courtyard of the reputable Wagner house. The rooms -which were out of use for years- on the first floor of the beautiful historical building, recently had been renovated by artists and filled with a new content along a unitary creative concept.
