Love the bracelet and was packaged so nicely!
Dreams do come true!
I've had an interest in art since I was a young girl. Over the years I have dabbled in drawing, painting, needlework & pottery. I began working with stained glass several years ago, which then led to mosaics. I started out making jewelry for family and friends who encouraged me to share my work with others, so here I am.
The inspiration for my seaglass and stone jewelry, The Cortez Collection, comes from my yearly trek to beautiful Los Cabos, Mexico, where my hubby and I spend many hours stooped over collecting the little treasures of the sea. I'm also a wee bit Irish, so from time to time you'll see a Celtic theme in my designs. I believe in keeping everything in life as simple as possible and I try to do the same in my designs, yet appeal to different styles and ages.
I use only high quality materials for all my creations. Most of the beads and gemstones used in my jewelry designs are purchased from reputable sellers here on Etsy and many of the metal components are handcrafted by other Etsy artisans. All of my stained glass art is an original design that begins with a hand-drawn pattern, hand-cutting the glass and finished using the copper foil technique. I use recycled or reclaimed items to mosaic whenever possible to create functional items for the home and garden. All my photos are taken in natural sunlight.
I'm thrilled and ever so grateful to have the opportunity to share my work here on Etsy. I hope you like what you see and will visit often.
