Fast! Intact and unique!...I wish it held a bit more but I can learn portion control! Sure beats the regular, old boring type mugs, that's for sure...thanks for a cool mug!

VAM helped me understand the limitations of my original order (which I commissioned with some ignorance), and offered some compromises that worked well for me. VAM was also good about keeping me updated about the progress of my commission, and I'm very happy with my octopus tentacled flower pots!

Absolutely love my squid bowls! One as an ashtray and the other as a holder for all my guitar picks. Thank you!

About

I'm just a wierdo who likes clay!

Grew up in the San Francisco bay area. I'm an avid gardener, baker, cook and book reader. I feel so lucky to be able to do my artwork and live a great life.

I got my degree as a conceptual artist at San Francisco State University. I didn't start working in clay until after I got out of college. Once I did, I was hooked.

One of the most important things I found with clay is that its a process and that process doesn't always turn out like you expect. Sometimes it's dealing with an unexpected, yet delightful result. Sometimes it's finding a piece that's blown up in your kiln... It's about change and accepting that things don't always turn out how you thought it would and learning that it's ok either way.

I can't stop creating. I just need to. So, why not sell it to supplement my need to make stuff. My dream is to someday go to a person's house and see my stuff there! That would be so cool!

I love clay. You can do so many things with it. I keep discovering new and interesting ways to make things, things from bowls, to mugs, skulls, squid gnomes and tiles! I hope you enjoy my pieces as much as I enjoy making them.

Refunds and Exchanges

If you are unhappy with your item I will always try to work something out with you. My customer's happiness is the most important to me.

If you need to return something, let me know within 14 days of receipt of the item. I'll refund you the purchase price when I receive the merchandise in original condition. Returns must be made at the buyer's expense in the original packaging in which the item was shipped, including all packaging materials and with a tracking number.

Refunds will be given after the package is received by VAM Pottery and the buyer is given less the cost of shipping if a refund has been agreed upon.

Return shipping will be refunded with the purchase of insurance.

CUSTOM pieces may only be returned/exchanged on a case-by-case basis and may not be returned for full value depending on their re-sale marketability.

VAM Pottery is not responsible for damage done to items during the shipping process once item is mailed. All packaging is done with breakable items in mind.
Shipping
I ship all items via USPS. Delivery confirmation is included on all shipments.
Delivery confirmation is not the same as tracking. Delivery confirmation confirms that the package has been delivered to the address noted on the label. It does not guarantee that it was hand delivered to an individual, just an address.

If you would like full tracking on your package you can upgrade to FedEx or UPS for an additional charge.

Seller is not responsible for packages lost or damaged by the carrier. I always try to pack my pottery in the most safe and secure way, but sometimes the post office is not so kind to my packages. If there is ever any breakage, I require a photo of the damage.

If the item was sent out with insurance, I require that you send it back to me in the same package and materials that the item was originally mailed. Return shipping will be refunded with the purchase of insurance.

I normally do not ship out of country, but have done so on occasion. I cannot be responsible for any mailing handing fees associated with shipping to that country.

If you want to add postal insurance, please include the request in your purchase, or email me before you buy so I can calculate the extra cost.
Additional policies and FAQs
I accept custom orders. Please keep in mind that due to the process of working with clay, orders will take 30-60 days to delivery, depending on quantity.

Custom pieces may only be returned/exchanged on a case-by-case basis and may not be returned for full value depending on their re-sale marketability.
