Always exploring new designs and improving my skills

One of the most important things I found with clay is that it's a process with its ups and downs. Sometimes it's dealing with an unexpected, yet delightful result. Sometimes it's finding a piece that's cracked or the glaze crawls. It's about change and accepting that things don't always turn out how you thought it would and learning that it's ok either way.

I got my degree as a conceptual artist at San Francisco State University. I didn't start working in clay until after I got out of college. Once I did, I was hooked. I do ceramics for fun and relaxation. I love to work with clay and it's ingrained in my life.

More about me, I grew up in the San Francisco bay area. I'm an avid gardener, baker, cook and book reader. And I love cephalopods and Doctor Who, so you can see my inspiration is from things I love. I feel so lucky to be able to do my artwork and live my best life.

I love clay. You can do so many things with it. I love discovering new and interesting ways to make things. I hope you enjoy my pieces as much as I enjoy making them.

Refunds and Exchanges

If you are unhappy with your item I will always try to work something out with you. My customer's happiness is the most important to me.

If you need to return something, let me know within 7 days of receipt of the item. I'll refund you the purchase price when I receive the merchandise in original condition when you ship the item back within 21 days of delivery. Returns must be made at the buyer's expense in the original packaging in which the item was shipped, including all packaging materials and with a tracking number and insurance in case of breakage.

Refunds will be given after the package is received undamaged by VAM Pottery and the buyer will be given the cost of the item, less the cost of shipping if a refund has been agreed upon.

CUSTOM pieces may only be returned/exchanged on a case-by-case basis and may not be returned for full value depending on their re-sale marketability.

VAM Pottery is not responsible for damage done to items during the shipping process once item is mailed. All items are packed with breakable items in mind.
Shipping
I ship all items via USPS. Delivery confirmation is included on all shipments.
Delivery confirmation is not the same as tracking. Delivery confirmation confirms that the package has been delivered to the address noted on the label. It does not guarantee that it was hand delivered to an individual, just an address.

If you would like full tracking on your package you can upgrade to FedEx or UPS for an additional charge.

Seller is not responsible for packages lost or damaged by the carrier. I always pack my pottery in the most safe and secure way, however sometimes the post office is not so kind to my packages. If there is ever any breakage, I require a photo of the damage.

If the item was sent out with insurance, I require that you send it back to me in the same package and materials that the item was originally mailed. Return shipping will be refunded with the purchase of insurance as per USPS process.

I normally do not ship out of country, but have done so on occasion. I am not responsible for any mailing handing fees associated with shipping to that country.

If you want to add postal insurance, please include the request in your purchase, or email me before you buy so I can calculate the extra cost.
Additional policies and FAQs
I accept custom orders. Please keep in mind that due to the process of working with clay, orders will take 30-60 days to delivery, depending on quantity.

Custom pieces may only be returned/exchanged on a case-by-case basis and may not be returned for full value depending on their re-sale marketability.
