Earrings were exactly as described. As they were sold as damaged, so she took many pictures to show it. I love them and now my boyfriend cannot say I am anti-federation anymore as before these all I owned were non-starfleet ships as I love their look better :b. I ordered 2 items, so she combined them and reduced shipping cost. Kind lady!

Weird Jewelry Maker By Day, Opera Singer By Night

I have never been afraid to be unapologetically myself, and I am a big ole nerd who loves animals, food, music, and color. I am an opera and classical singer by profession, I like to write songs about vegetables on my smiley face ukulele, I am a long-time vegan, and I am obsessed with thrift stores. I am vegan for the animals, but I care about the environment, too, and I have seen just how much great stuff ends up at secondhand shops. That's why I use secondhand materials in my shop: toys from the 90s, used computer keyboards, old paint chip samples, even my findings are sourced from estate sales or people who are destashing their craft supplies.

Like so many, I started making jewelry as a way to care for my mental health during the pandemic. As an opera singer, all of my work was suddenly gone, and my main outlet of creativity, singing, was a painful reminder of my missing career. Keeping busy with my hands was the best way to calm the anxiety. Creating new pieces of quirky jewelry quickly became something I look forward to and enjoy, and I've been so pleased to nourish another side of my creativity! Now that I can perform again, I feel more complete having this other kind of art play such a big part in my life.
