Announcement   Velvet Otterhound is a line of one-of-a-kind assemblage combining vintage jewelry, antique hardware, found items, and semi-precious stones to create unique, fantastical, pieces of wearable art.

It’s like grandpa’s toolbox got a hold of grandma’s jewelry box- a bit of recycling with a blingy twist!

It's 'motorcycle vintage'.

It's sturdy and rustic and rhinestoney all wrapped up in a patina bow.

It's what happens when a city girl is moved to a mountain town with nothing but garage sale findings and dad's workshop. I live back in the city now... but I can't seem to put down the drill.

Vintage Redesigned

This is my version of collage using vintage jewelry, coins, medals, drawer pulls, and found items.

What's an otterhound? It's a strong working water dog with a long, lovely coat. I chose the name because my pieces are strong yet still have a hint of luxury and whimsy. Why Velvet? Because I was listening to Velvet Underground when I thought of the name. =)
