Announcement   I am a wood worker located in Asheville, NC . When curves meet a straight line, I believe the eye is interested in the desgn and this is a common theme in my work. I like to make classically curved furniture with modern originality. Using local sustainable woods is important to me. I enjoy creating comfortable and interesting furniture that will be used by many future generations. Some pieces may be made in different sizes or wood of choice. Fainting sofas are made with your chosen fabric sent to me to customize to you. please allow 2-4 weeks turnaround on smaller pieces and 6-9 weeks turn around on larger pieces. None of the work is done by CNC or by employees. All work is done by me in the shop. I prefer to discuss larger furniture work with the customer before the purchase to work out all the details so please send me a conversation if you are interested in purchasing a custom order. Large Items take up to 6 weeks.

Etsy wants five words, at least, for a review, but one will do here: WOW! I'm glad I have it--so I can lie down and marvel at it! If, when you read "chaise," you think of a fragile, sat-in piece of furniture that really doesn't fit in any of your grandma's rooms ... well, then you've got it all wrong. This chaise is a formidable piece of furniture--beautifully crafted of solid cherry. It will probably last longer than the house; it certainly looks better. I very much appreciated the opportunity to select fabrics for it--but the whole project got much more interesting when the artist (and that's totally the right word) helped with recommendations. The finished product has far exceeded even my wildest expectations for it--and I was already looking forward to a truly modern take on a classic piece of furniture. WOW!

Worked out some customizations that turned out great. Everything worked out wonderfully, from the communications, design, shipping, and the final product. I had originally planned to put this upstairs, but now I'm leaving it downstairs where more people will be able to see it :)

Jessica was wonderful to work with--long discussions about the best wood to match the room, and many fabric swatches sent back and forth. The finished couch is gorgeous--elegant and comfortable. Delivered when promised. Jessica's work is highly recommended.

About

It began with a few pieces of furniture.

I started my online shop 3 years ago after graduating from HCC 2 year craft program. I had a few pieces of my own design and then began working with clients vision's to make custom pieces. This has expanded my collection of work. I enjoy getting to modify and collaborate on custom pieces with my clients.

I am inspired by historic structures, old objects, colors, the feel of wood with a finished surface. I have a deep respect for trees and think that reincarnation of the wood into something that can last lifetimes is an honor to the tree itself.
