For years, I've been collecting shells and crafting with them. I've also dabbled in embroidery, cross stitch, painting, drawing, sewing, and knitting.

However, I've always wondered if and how I could incorporate my love of shells into a business. It's been this little voice inside me, kinda nagging at me. That's when I found Etsy. I realized there are plenty of people who love crafting with sea shells. I've seen some amazingly beautiful things done with them - things that I would never have come up with myself. Crafting really is an art!

There are many landlocked people who really want a nice assortment of shells for their crafting projects. There are others who live near the beach, but don't have time to collect shells themselves. I love hearing from my buyers as to what they're making with them. Some are jewelry artists who live in Hawaii, but can't get certain types of shells that I have. Others come from the midwest or east coast and are using them in home decor projects, making birthday party favors, or using them in a beach theme wedding. Super fun!

It is so relaxing and enjoyable to collect shells. My husband, who didn't understand what the fuss was about at first, now goes with me on my hunts and loves it. I really love arranging my finds into collections that I think the buyers will enjoy.
