Where Architect meets Concrete

It all started with a mesmerized look of a 6 year-old child at my concrete R2D2 paperweight. He just loved it, and was fascinated with the power of material in creation! Every body loves handmade pieces. As an architectural designer with more than 10 years of professional experience working in consulting firms, I decided to found my own studio, and to design and create my own furniture and decorative objects. Since I started working by myself, I have felt the joy of creativity and working with different forms and experimented with concrete material. Beside designing and building of residences, I take pride in making new objects for use in the interiors.

Most of the concrete I use it is called GFRC (Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete) which allows elimination of the metal rebar from concrete, as well as a thinner application. So those bulky and heavy concrete that you cannot move is gone. Considering about a 40-50% reduction in weight.

My main design focus is capturing the liquidity of concrete. I have chosen fabric forming as a medium to be able to show the liquid function of concrete in my designs. I also experiment straight edge and sharp corners with concrete.

Shipping
since the concrete furniture are so heavy the shipping out of Los Angeles will be expensive but it depends on quantity as well. Shipping with in 50 miles of downtown Los Angeles will be free of charge.
