PRIVACY POLICY

This Privacy Policy, effective beginning May 25, 2018, describes how and when I collect, use, and share information when you purchase an item from me, contact me, or otherwise use my services through Etsy.com or its related sites and services. I will never use or pass on your information to third parties for marketing purposes or any other purpose, other than the circumstances listed below, or add you to any mailing list without your explicit consent.


INFORMATION I COLLECT

To fulfill your order, you must provide me with certain information (which you authorized Etsy to provide to me), such as your name, email address, postal address, payment information, and the details of the product that you’re ordering. You may also choose to provide me with additional personal information pertaining to the fulfillment of your order, if you contact me directly.


WHY I NEED YOUR INFORMATION AND HOW I USE IT

I rely on a number of legal bases to collect, use, and share your information, including:
• As needed to provide my services, such as when I use your information to fulfill your order, ship your order, to settle disputes, or to provide customer support.
• When you have provided your affirmative consent, which you may revoke at any time, such as by signing up for a mailing list should I offer one. (At this time I do not.)
• If necessary to comply with a legal obligation or court order or in connection with a legal claim, such as retaining information about your purchases if required by tax law.
• As necessary for the purpose of my legitimate interests, if those legitimate interests are not overridden by your rights or interests, such as 1) Providing my services to you. I use your information to provide the services that I offer and which you requested. 2) Compliance with the Etsy Seller Policy and Terms of Use. I use your information as necessary to comply with my obligations under the Etsy Seller Policy and Terms of Use.
• I will never sell your information to a third party. Nor will I use your information to contact


INFORMATION SHARING DISCLOSURE

Information about my customers is important to my business. I share your personal information for very limited reasons and in limited circumstances, as follows:
• Etsy. I share information with Etsy as necessary to provide you my services and comply with my obligations under both the Etsy Seller Policy and Etsy Terms of Use.
• Service providers. I engage certain trusted third parties to perform functions and provide services in order to fulfill your order and communicate effectively with you, (such as the United States Postal Service to deliver your order, if applicable, or the use of an email service provider, such as Gmail, should there be a need for us to communicate via email. *Please see my Gmail address below if you choose to contact me via email). I will share your personal information with these third parties, but only to the extent necessary to perform these services.
• Business transfers. If I sell or merge my business, I may disclose your information as part of that transaction, only to the extent permitted by law.
• Compliance with laws. I may collect, use, retain, and share your information if I have a good faith belief that it is reasonably necessary to: (a) respond to legal process or to government requests; (b) enforce my agreements, terms and policies; (c) prevent, investigate, and address fraud and other illegal activity, security, or technical issues; or (d) protect the rights, property, and safety of my customers, or others.


DATA RETENTION

I retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to provide you with my services and as described in my Privacy Policy. However, I may also be required to retain this information to comply with my legal and regulatory obligations, to resolve disputes, and to enforce my agreements.
• For tax purposes I generally keep your data for a minimum of 7 years and a maximum of 10 years.
• Electronic communication, either via Etsy's "Conversations" or via private email service providers, (see my email contact info below) will be held for a minimum of one year and a maximum of 3 years, so that I can better serve you should there need to be future communication, (in regards to your purchase or to answer any questions or inquiries initiated by you) as well as informing me of past transactions and communications that may be helpful to me in regards to better serving you on future orders should choose to purchase from me again. If at anytime you wish for me to delete our communication, please contact me and I will be happy to do so.


TRANSFERS OF PERSONAL INFORMATION OUTSIDE THE EU

I prefer to communicate via Etsy's "Conversations", (please note that Etsy retains it's own Privacy Policies, which can be found here: https://www.etsy.com/legal/privacy/). However, at times it may be necessary to communicate via personal e-mail. I use Gmail as my e-mail service provider, (my e-mail address can be found below). Please be aware this may involve transferring, storing and processing information through third-party hosting services in the US and other jurisdictions. As a result, I may transfer your personal information to a jurisdiction with different data protection and government surveillance laws than your jurisdiction. If I am required to do so, I will utilize services which are appropriately Privacy Shield certified. YOUR RIGHTS

If you reside in certain territories, including the EU, you have a number of rights in relation to your personal information. While some of these rights apply generally, certain rights apply only in certain limited cases. I describe these rights below:
• Access. You may have the right to access and receive a copy of the personal information I hold about you by contacting me.
• Change, restrict, delete. You may also have rights to change, restrict my use of, or delete your personal information. Absent exceptional circumstances (like where I am required to store data for legal reasons) I will generally delete your personal information upon request.
• Object. You can object to (i) my processing of some of your information based on my legitimate interests and (ii) receiving marketing messages from me after providing your express consent to receive them. In such cases, I will delete your personal information unless I have compelling and legitimate grounds to continue using that information or if it is needed for legal reasons.
• Complain. If you reside in the EU and wish to raise a concern about my use of your information (and without prejudice to any other rights you may have), you have the right to do so with your local data protection authority.


CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

Please be advised that I retain the right to regularly review and, where necessary, update this privacy information.
