Passion and devotion...

Perhaps its a bit of ADD, or a bit of a gypsy soul, or a propensity towards distraction...but I have become a jack of a few different trades, master of none... Makeup artist, banker, jewelry sales, makeup artist (still), photographer, educator... Though, the one constant has always been a passion for jewelry, for the lapidary arts, for the sourcing, the preservation, the admiration and overall obsession of and for jewelry. Currently, I have GIA AJP credentials, and am working on becoming a GIA Graduate Gemologist.

The idea for a shop has been in the back of my brain since I was a little girl. The realization that a shop could be a reality popped to the forefront of my brain earlier this year. I had become consumed with hunting for vintage Pyrex (don’t judge) and was immersing myself in vintage stores and antique shops. My eyes would always wander over to the glass cases and I would quickly dismiss it...reminding myself that the LAST thing I needed was more jewelry. Until that dang day in Melbourne, Florida...having recently become a part of my monthly travel, I was eager to check out the local antique shops guessed it...Pyrex. As I walked in to this massive store I spotted, in the back of a glassed in case...surrounded by unsightly mass produced pieces...a gorgeous beaming platinum and diamond engagement piece. I knew I had to rescue it...for if nothing else, myself! Maybe I could use it as a stack ring... Then I started shifting my focus from too many damn colored glass vintage jewelry and its been all uphill (downhill???) from there!

I work extremely hard to curate my shop with vintage pieces that I would be proud to wear. Everything in this shop is scrutinized and selected for quality, authenticity, and value. I have contracted with local appraisers for larger pieces so I can assure you the buyer can purchase with confidence and rest assured that my prices are fair and reasonable. I completely understand the appraisal value listed, is an inflated “retail” value and I price accordingly.

If you have any questions or comments I encourage you to reach out. I love what I do and I love every single piece in my shop. It breaks my heart a little every time a piece is shipped out…but I trust it’s going to a great home where it will be loved as much as it was in the brief time it was with me. If you purchase from me, I may ask a little about you…if its for an engagement, etc… And I would love to see a picture of you with the piece! So don’t be surprised if I ask ;)

Best wishes always-

I distinctly remember playing jewelry store as a child at my grandparents aluminum blue cash register kept my "money" and "important jewels" and those green berry baskets you get at the grocery store served as my display stands.... In my teen years my focus shifted from make believe to being a rock hound and studying stones, lapidary arts, and sourcing-and those glorious tourist traps in the Carolinas called "gem mines"...oh my stars I could stay there all day!!!! In my early twenties I had the good fortune to work for a jewelry store and learned and studied and learned some more...loving every minute of it. Since then-life, kids, "real jobs" and other grown up stuff has gotten in the way. I have yearned for a place to parlay my passions into something I could potentially do for a living again. Earlier this year (2013) I began purchasing these treasures with the intent to resale. Its a labor of love... Selective and discriminating would be two ways to describe my shopping style. As much information is gathered upon purchase and I do my best to share the information with you the buyer.

Visit often as my assortment is every changing and growing.

Best wishes for peace, love and light-

Additional policies and FAQs
I am a GIA educated vintage jewelry enthusiast ..not a jeweler. I assure you all diamonds have been tested and authenticated...all diamond weights are approximated by careful measuring and calculation...if in doubt I ALWAYS underestimate carat weight. Better to be safe than sorry! If you want/need an appraisal done I am more than happy to have it arranged, please ask for details and fees. Everything is described very thoroughly and sold as is. Most vintage pieces come with years of love, and life experience-which may include a scratches and dings. Any defects or excessive wear I have both photographed and described in the listing.

Also, a note about the fragility of antique and vintage jewelry. Some stones, in particular seed pearls, are fragile. They are prone to damage, or worse yet...falling out (!) when exposed to excessive water and especially ultrasonic cleaners. Once an article leaves my place of business intact, I am no longer responsible for loss of stone as I cannot control the environment in which it is cared for. Thank you for understanding.
