5 out of 5 starsThe pictures don't do it enough justice, the colors on this are so vivid. My brother really loved hearing all those familiar sounds again from the scanned video. We'll definitely have to grab a few more soon!
About VideoGameShadowBox
Capturing the good old days one screenshot at a time.
This all started long before the days of Etsy.
When I was a kid, my parents bought me a Nintendo Entertainment System for Christmas. I was too young to read the names of the games, but it didn't matter. I was hooked, and over the next 30 years video games became a permanent fixture in my life.
It's amazing how much can stick with you over that period of time. I remember ruining the map that came with the original Zelda cartridge with my crude drawings, and laughing at my dad's terrible attempts to play Metroid. I remember the sense of freedom from an unexpected snow day and the exciting car ride to buy a new game from a toy store. I think the early days of playing games were so special because you may not have had phones to capture those moments, but you had the games, and you can still experience them today with a part of your childhood attached in a way that's unique to every gamer.
I created this shop to capture those moments for me and I hope that I can share them with you.

I'm a huge fan of the 8-bit and 16-bit video game consoles that I was lucky enough to play during my childhood, and I love reconstructing my favorite scenes through shadow boxes.

Custom and personalized orders
Please include the name and date for personalized orders in a purchase note or through a message. Please double check the spelling of the names, the order of the names, and format of the date (usually MM.DD.YY)
I can't guarantee that I can make a completely custom scene, but I am always open to suggestions.
Sizing details
The size of all frames are 10x12.5 and the viewport is 8.5x11. I arrived at this size through careful trial and error - smaller sizes make the sprites hard to see and larger sizes make the sprites look blocky.
Care instructions
The frames are glass, so treat them as fragile once they are out of their packaging and be careful that the back hook catches on before you let go while wall mounting.
Wholesale availability
Since these are handmade I cannot offer much in the way of wholesale purchasing. You are welcome to contact me and I will try to work something out with you.
