Wonderful buying experience with Geri-Lynn; jar is just beautiful and I'm so happy to add it to my collection. Of particular note is the amazing packing job to ensure safe travel...even wrapped packing peanuts within their own bag so they wouldn't fly everywhere when I unpacked my little treasure...so clever...my inner neat freak was delighted;)
It all started with one little cup and saucer
Just a few years ago I wandered into a thrift shop for the first time in my life. I was instantly fascinated by a little cup and saucer with a turquoise starburst and square design. I bought it and started researching! I was hooked.
The cup turned out to be a Taylor Smith & Taylor in the Moderne pattern. I have bought and sold hundreds of pieces of Taylor Smith & Taylor since then but I will never sell that adorable little cup and saucer that started all this!
I spend a lot of time "picking" in areas around where I live which is between Atlanta and Athens, Georgia. When I can get away, I head south through Alabama and along the Gulf Coast into North Florida, Mississippi, and even Louisiana picking up bits of the past along the way. What I can't bring physically, I bring home in photos. It makes for a unique kind of travel and I get to know the people of the place. This is the richest and most rewarding type of travel for me. The road trip is the destination and I don't often have a clue where I'll end up or what kind of crazy treasures I will acquire along the way.
