The gloves arrived quickly & were beautiful. However, they arrived with the Mink torn on one of them:( The seller promptly apologized and was very professional, giving me a full refund upon returning them.
Evolution from collector to seller
I started collecting and using vintage handbags many years ago. I got so many compliments I decided to turn my hobby and love of vintage handbags in to a vintage handbag company. VintageESTATEments was born in 2004. I stated a website and searched everywhere I went for interesting vintage bags and purses. Most of my sales were made by running ads in the local Jewish Journal in South Florida and doing home visits to many wonderful elderly women. Many did not want to part with their treasures but they felt no one in their families were interested in having them. I expanded my purchases into jewelry and clothing and some household items. While running the website my location changed as my husband was relocated to California, back to Florida and then to Michigan, where we reside today. I gave up the website and moved my business to ESTY. I couldn't be happier. I have taken a hiatus over the past couple of years to start another business in our community but now I back and will be looking forward to bringing more offering to my site very shortly.
Around the web
I have been a collector of vintage and antique treasures since I was 16 years old. I still wander antique stores, malls, shows, estate sales and online. My collections have changed but I still have an appreciation for all things with a history.

Additional policies and FAQs
Mint - This is self-explanatory. These are items which have the original tags, are in the original box or still have accessories wrapped in paper. They have never been used.
Near Mint - These items appear to have never been used, but we can't be sure.
Excellent - These items were used rarely and very well cared for, no detracting exterior flaws but they have lost that "new" feeling or have visible interior flaws.
Very Good - These items have been used and show some evidence of use but have not been treated badly and have no major flaws.
Good - This is reserved for items that have visible flaws but are still lots of fun or very hard to find.
Fair - You won't see this here much. Items with this rating are items which need repair but have enough sentimental or monetary value to be worth a bit of work or items which are only very rarely found in better condition.
We provide clear photos and detailed descriptions to help give you the best idea of what you are purchasing. We will answer any questions you may have about the item and post extra photos if necessary.
Vintage garment sizes from past decades are not the same as modern sizing. The measurements posted for each product are the dimensions of the garment, not your measurements. We try to measure as accurately as possible. For the best fit, you will need to take your measurements and account for comfort and ease of movement. We measure precisely, not approximately, so keep that in mind when measuring yourself. For example, if the waist size says 26" you will need to be a little smaller to fit. How much depends on you and your idea of comfort. We usually take measurements while the item is hanging, in an unstretched state.
When measuring for fit, it is important follow these instructions to ensure your measurements will work with the garment's measurements before purchasing:
TAKING THE BUST MEASUREMENT: Position measuring tape so that it covers the widest part of your back and the fullest part of your bust, not under the bust but the fullest part of the bust. Make sure you do not pull the tape tight.
TAKING THE WAIST MEASUREMENT: Place tape around your natural waist, the bend on your side is your natural waist. Make sure you do not pull the tape tight.
TAKING THE HIP MEASUREMENT: Position the measuring tape at the widest part of your hip which should be a few inches above the crotch area. Make sure you do not pull the tape tight.
TAKING THE INSEAM PANT MEASUREMENT: The inseam is measured from the highest point inside the leg (crotch) to the hem or ankle. Position the measuring tape at the highest point on the inside of the leg and measure to your ankle or pant hem.
