Announcement   Welcome to Vintage Fabulous.

A big thank you and shout out to all of the customers who contacted me during my 6 month absence from Etsy. During that time, I have relocated my home and family from Michigan to Texas, faced some health challenges and learned to be patient and grateful. I am happy to be back on Etsy and to continue to provide some "good stuff" for people who love vintage, or just like the unparalleled quality and uniqueness of vintage accessories.

Thank you for visiting my shop!

Payment
i only accept payment via paypal. you have an emergency or unusual situation - don't wish it away - contact me. i'm really very reasonable and will work with you in hopes of reaching a satisfying outcome for everyone.
i do not grant cancellations, so please make sure that you want it before you check out your shopping cart.
Shipping
almost everything ships 1st class. if you would like a priority upgrade, please let me know asap because most orders ship within 48 hours of receiving payment. i strongly recommend insurance on orders over $100. any customer can feel free to contact me if you would like to request insurance on your order. i've been very fortunate to ship all over the world and have only had 2 orders that did not make it to it's final destination. still, i have to ask my customers to be reasonable. i cannot be held responsible for packages lost in route.
international packages can only be tracked if you pay for priority mail. contact me for a quote if you are interested.
Refunds and Exchanges
i try to be very honest, thoughtful and accurate when describing my items. however it is important to ask everyone to be mindful that my items are VINTAGE. these items carry a small piece of history and each one has been a part of someone else's story before it arrives to you (isn't that the beauty of them?).
i do not offer refunds unless i have failed to accurately describe the item or disclose blatant flaws.
if, after you receive your purchase you feel that the description wasn't accurate, please contact me and let's talk about it.

MY POLICY ON RESERVED LISTINGS
I DO NOT DO RESERVED LISTINGS...PERIOD!
I have decided to make a change to my policy on reserved listings. I will no longer be doing reserved listings. It has caused too many problems for me, as the seller. I encourage you to secure any item that you want by placing it in your etsy cart and checking out.WHEN YOU PLACE AN ITEM IN YOUR CART AND CHECK OUT YOU ARE MAKING A COMMITMENT TO PURCHASE AND THE SALE IS NOT NEGOTIABLE. If you are not sure that you want an item, do not put it in your cart. Thank you for your understanding. This change will allow me to run my etsy store more efficiently.

ITEM DESCRIPTIONS
Here is an explanation of the vintage condition terms used in the item descriptions.

Mint - These items appear to have never been used, or to have had very little usage. While there may be some visable signs of tarnish to the metal hardware (which is to be expected with age) - these items are considered to be collectors items.

Excellent - These items were used rarely and very well cared for, no detracting exterior or exterior flaws.

Very Good - These items have been used and show some evidence of use but have have no major flaws.

Good - These items have visible flaws such as a torn interior lining or slight discoloration due to inproper storage, but are still lots of fun or very hard to find.

Fair - You won't see this here much. Items with this rating are items which need repair but have enough sentimental or monetary value to be worth a bit of work or items which are only very rarely found in better condition.

CLEANING & CARING for your vintage jewelry

most likely your jewelry will arrive in the same condition in which it was found. imagine being on a scavenger hunt being sent to "hunt" in boxes of abandoned chaos to flea markets to extravagant estate sales. i rarely clean these treasures because....well, because i don't have time! and believe it or not, most purists and seasoned collectors of vintage jewelry prefer to clean the jewelry themselves to insure that it is done correctly. improper cleaning of your jewelry can ruin it. harsh chemicals, prolonged exposure to moisture and abrasive materials (including toothbrushes) are the enemy.

KEEP THESE TIPS in mind...

*1* cotton swabs, a soft make up brush, wooden toothpicks, and a micro-fiber towel will do the trick most of the time

*2* never soak your jewelry in any solution - even water. use a moist cotton swab or micro-fiber towel to gently wipe away dirt, dust and cooties :-)

*3* a wooden toothpick can be used to gently pick out encrusted areas and a makeup brush can be used to brush the surface clean

*4* the natural effects of aging (patinas) to metal finishes such as copper, sterling silver and even nickel are often what attracts buyers to vintage jewelry. if you choose to "clean up" the metal be very, very careful - especially if the jewelry also contains pearls or rhinestones.

*5* for more serious clean ups consult your nearest internet search engine. there are lots of good resources on the web.
