We're, and we've been selling vintage clothing online since March 1997. We are currently transitioning our 6000+ item inventory to Etsy, where there's good company and great finds to be had. Here's a bit more about our shop:

-We're listing new items all the time. To know about upcoming items, please email sales [!at] and we'll add you to our mailing list for updates & special discounts.

-Orders received before 10 AM EST ship same day. Those received after 10 AM will ship same day or (if necessary) by the next business day. On rare occasions, some items may take two business days to ship, but we'll be in contact with you in that case.

-We are very responsive to deadlines and arrival times. If you need something quickly, let us know. We're on it.

-All items are listed in modern sizes, which we derive from the item's measurements and our size chart. We also list its measurements to encourage you to compare for best fit.

-We ship worldwide.

-We're friendly. You can expect a quick reply from us, day or night. You can also call us at 941-627-2254 to ask us how soft a cashmere is, how short a mini dress is, or how beautiful that thing-you-need-to-have is.

VintageVixen is an Internet mail-order company specializing in vintage and antique clothing since March 1997.


We accept Visa, Mastercard, AMEX, Discover, Paypal, checks and money orders. Orders shipping to an address within Florida will have 7% sales tax.

We offer layaway in 1/3 payments over the course of four weeks. To set up a layaway, order the item through Etsy, and select "other" as the payment method. Once check-out is complete, we will send a Paypal invoice for the first payment (1/3 of total). Payment should be completed within 5 calendar days for the item to remain held for you.

After the first payment's received, we will send a schedule for the second payment (two weeks later) and the third (one month later). When payments are complete, your order ships!

Layaway installments are not refundable if incomplete, and items included in the order cannot be changed/edited. Partial layaway installments left incomplete will be forfeited when 7 days has passed from any installment due date, and the item(s) will be made available again.

Orders not paid for within five calendar days are made available again, and non-payment is recorded with Etsy.

Reserving an item means holding it exclusively for one person in anticipation of completing an order. Repeat customers can reserve items by sending a message to us. Please note any item is available for sale (and subject to prior sale) until we confirm your reservation/order.

If you're a first-time customer with Vintage Vixen, to reserve an item you will need to place the order and mark the payment method as "other". We will then invoice you via Paypal, and you have five calendar days to complete payment. For orders placed this way, Paypal is the simplest method of payment. We can also accept card numbers phoned in at 941-627-2254 between 10 AM & 6 PM EST, Monday to Friday.

Large orders are welcome and can expect quick turn-around, usually within one business day. Orders over $3000 are eligible for 20% discount with code WHOLESALE.

In our Etsy shop, some items are sold at clock pricing. This means its price on Etsy will reduce at random intervals until the item is sold.


Vintage Vixen ships Monday through Friday. We always ship insured unless specifically requested otherwise. Items may be sent in a box or padded mailer according to their needs. Please message us if you have particular requirements.

Gift wrap is available on most items for $4.99 per item. In December, we wrap with authentic vintage holiday themed wrapping paper. To add gift wrap to your order, please message us with the request before check-out.

In some cases we may prefer that you inspect the item's condition before approving its suitability as a gift, because vintage items are sometimes not in mint condition. In these cases we will advise you what we think best, and you may prefer us to send the item without wrapping for best assurance of condition.

We ship daily via UPS Ground, Priority Mail, Parcel Select or First Class. If you have a preference for which of these methods you'd like, just let us know when you order.

If you are purchasing a quantity of items from our shop, actual shipping can vary and is often lower than the available shipping options. Please ask if you would like exact rates for an exact list of items (please include your zip code and type of address - residential or commercial).

Domestic shipments $5.95 and under ship insured First Class.

International shipping costs vary a great deal, depending on the destination, weight & dimensions of the package, and value of goods.

The international shipping prices listed for item usually represent shipping by insured First Class Mail (estimated 2-3 weeks' arrival). We are happy to send expedited via Priority Mail (estimated 6-10 days), Global Express (estimated 3-5 days), or Global Express Guaranteed (1-3 days guaranteed by USPS). Please message us with details.

We are always glad to reply with a list of shipping options tailored just for you.

International orders may have additional fees (customs, VAT, etc) charged by the import office in your country. We cannot estimate or make arrangements for these fees, though we do everything possible to minimize them. We must, however, mark packages as merchandise and state their actual value on customs forms.

You can receive your order using overnight or two-day rush shipping within the US. For international transit times, please see the last three paragraphs.

We normally ship same-day if the order is received by 10 AM EST (and sometimes later). Please email sales [!at] or call 941-627-2254 to get real-time specifics.

The number of shipping days begins the day after the shipment is sent, and total time in transit does not include any holidays or other no-movement days recognized by the shipping carrier. For exact info based on your deadline, please write us or call 941-627-2254.

Etsy's shipping system does not currently allow us to customize a shipping quote based on the item and your zip code. For an exact rush shipping rate, please message us with the item numbers/links and your arrival deadline.

US customers have 3 options for rush orders - Next Day Air Saver, 2nd Day Air and Express Mail:

---UPS Next Day Air Saver is guaranteed to arrive overnight Monday through Friday. UPS offers Saturday delivery service for an additional $16.00. UPS Next Day Air Saver is not available to international addresses and some remote US addresses.

---UPS 2nd Day Air is guaranteed to arrive in two business days after the date shipped. Deliveries are Monday through Friday, though UPS also offers Saturday delivery for an additional $16.00. UPS 2nd Day Air is not available to international addresses.

---USPS Express Mail is an overnight service to most areas of the U.S. Express Mail can take two days to arrive in remote U.S. destinations and it is delivered on Saturdays. Because this service varies depending on zip code, please call us at 941-627-2254 if you need exact time-in-transit.

International customers have 2 options for rush orders - Express Mail and Global Express Guaranteed:

---USPS Express Mail is an estimated three to five-day service for most destinations worldwide and is generally reliable, barring no delays at customs. International Express shipments start at about $60-70.

---USPS Global Express Guaranteed is a day-definite one to three-day service for most destinations worldwide and is the most expedient international delivery service feasibly available (excepting UPS Express Critical). Global Express Guaranteed shipments cost about $85-100 minimum.

Refunds and Exchanges

Returns are accepted with an initial request made within 7 days of order received. Terms are the same as

-we'll send an RMA # (include this number on outside of box)
-100% refund for item(s) value for returns under $100
-returns over $100 have a 15% restocking fee up to a max fee of $75, fee waived if return is used in full toward an exchange
-shipping is not refunded
-we process returns on Fridays
-returns must be in same condition as original shipment, including inventory control tags and any other ID markers
-items returned without RMA receive either store credit only or 25% restocking fee at our discretion

Additional Policies and FAQs

SIZING: All items are in US sizes. We list modern sizes in titles and under the Size heading. We list vintage sizes in the Label heading.

To get a modern size from a vintage garment, we take the actual bust, waist, and hip measurements of each garment, and then translate that to a handy size equivalent based on its inches. Inches are standard, even if sizes between different companies and eras aren't.

Please note, all measurements listed at bust, waist, and hip are the maximum body measurements that will fit the item. These measurements already have ease subtracted and they are not actual fabric widths. To get actual fabric widths add two inches at the bust, one inch at the waist, and two inches at the hip.

INTERNATIONAL ORDERS: All sizes listed are US sizes unless stated otherwise.

We mark the items' actual value for customs forms. We also list item descriptions as "used/vintage clothing" as customs officers may reduce or eliminate customs fees based on secondhand status or age.

ITEM AND STORAGE CONDITIONS: All our items displayed at are carefully stored in our climate-controlled warehouse, and all are quickly accessible when you have questions about a particular piece. While we maintain a scrupulously clean workplace, we do have a shop cat, and we want you to know that vintage items may have come in contact with animal dander, mold/mildew, dust and other environmental elements.

We clean and prepare our garments as meticulously as we would for ourselves, but please be informed that vintage clothing has a past, and we may be unaware of allergic traces that sensitive individuals could find problematic.

Items are sold as collectibles. We cannot make claims, warranties or guarantees about fitness for a particular use, safety or durability.

GARMENT CARE: We list care for every garment so that you have first-hand information about how a reputable vintage clothing shop would care for the item. These instructions are recommendations only, and this information is based on our experience handling vintage garments. Your mileage may vary. If you are concerned about caring for vintage clothing yourself, request the help of a knowledgeable dry cleaner.

SHOE CARE: Shoe soles may need to be scored before use.
