VintageVows provides the vintage loving bride with unique, beautiful items to make her wedding day special.

It may look like I'm new to Etsy, but my other store StilettoGirl Vintage has been open and running for a few years with wonderful positive feedback.

RESERVES: I am happy to hold any item on reserve for you for seven days. Please only ask for a reserve if you intend to purchase the item. If you need a longer reserve, a non-refundable deposit of 5% of the item cost is required for each two week time period. (So a month long reserve would require a 10% deposit.) Lay-away can be arranged if needed, just convo me and we will work out the details.
I try to ship items as quickly as I can. I am a heavily occupied pet foster home so I have a workshop/storage location away from my home to maintain my sanity and to keep my garments pet hair free. This means it may take me a little longer to ship items out because I try to be conservative and not waste fuel. Typically a three business day turn around time on shipping is normal when there is not inclimate weather. If you need it quick or need to upgrade shipping just let me know. I don't ship upgraded packages on credit. Payment for upgraded shipping needs to be paid before the item is shipped.

I use recycled shipping materials whenever available, and seal garments in plastic for safe shipping. Bubble wrap mailers or tear resistant plastic poly bags, rather than boxes, are used to ship many flat/foldable garments to reduce shipping cost. However, common sense is applied to garments that would suffer from crushing, such as tafetta or tulle, and these items are shipped loosely boxed.

Items occasionally get lost in transit. I know it occurs and therefore I will not issue a refund for uninsured lost or damaged items. Vintage items are typically one of a kind and there are no replacements. If you are concerned about loss or damage in transit, please convo me *before* you check out to arrange insurance or tracking at an additional cost. Items over $50, or very fragile items include insurance in the shipping cost to almost ALL customers. Please make sure (especially on large items which may be conceived as valuable by potential thieves) that your shipping address is/has a safe place to leave packages. I'll gladly ship to a work address or include signature confirmation (at an additional cost) if you are concered about loss or theft. If damage does occur to insured packages you must contact me immediately and/or request an insurance form from the delivery person upon receipt.

Please note that a customs declaration is required on *all* parcels sent out of the US. All shipments are sent out with a declaration of the actual sale price of the item, and at least one invoice on the outside of the box. You are responsible for the payment of any taxes or duties associated with importing to your country. Before you buy, please be aware of any additional costs you might incur, as well as import restrictions for your country. I do not deceptively mark items as gifts so please don't ask me to do so. Your international package will arrive swiftly and safely when items are declared properly. If your package has not arrived within 4-6 weeks, please check with your local postal/customs office to see if the package is being held for payment of duties/import taxes. These fees are your responsibility and are not included in the sale or shipping price of your item(s). We now have a resource for purchasing insurance on FIRST CLASS International parcels so all packages over $50 value (with a few exceptions, see below) will be insured as of 03/29/2011. So no more upgrading to Priority for valuable items. If it is under 4 pounds it can ship, insured, at first class rate!!! YEAH! I'm so excited about this!

Countries excluded from insured international shipping include: Abkhazia, Afghanistan, Algeria, Angola (including Cabinda), Bangladesh, Barbados, Benin, Bolivia, Brazil, Bulgaria, Burkina Faso, Burma, Burundi, Cabinda, Cambodia, Cameroon, Cape Verde, Central African Republic, Chad, Chechnia, Congo, Cuba, Djibouti, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Gabon, Georgia, Ghana, Guinea - Bissau, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Ivory Coast, Jordan, Kenya, Liberia, Libya, Mali, Mauritania, truck/rail shipments to and within Mexico other than as a connecting conveyance, Moldova, Morocco, Niger, Nigeria, North Korea, Oman, Pakistan, Papua/New Guinea, Paraguay, Qatar, Rwanda, Senegal, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Slovenia, Solomon Islands, Somalia, Sudan, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Syria, Tanzania, Togo, Tunisia, Uganda, Venezuela, and Yemen.
Refunds and Exchanges
Please read item descriptions carefully before buying, and ask questions. I do not accept returns unless I made an error in the listing or failed to note a flaw. If I messed up, we can arrange to have the item returned and a full refund will be issued. Because we are all human, I know it can be easy to misread or misunderstand a listing so I may approve a return in an exceptional case (for example when a child size garment was purchased for an adult). These approved returns are subject to a 15% restocking fee, do not include any postage costs, and are only completed when the item has been returned in original condition.
Additional policies and FAQs
Bust, Waist and hip measurements are taken with the garment laid flat and then doubled, and should be considered maximum sizes. Please compare these measurements to clothing that fits you well rather than body measurements. If you use your body measurements allow 1/2 to 1 1/2 inches of extra space for comfort/movement. The measurement of length on my listings is total length. Should you need additional measurements, convo me, I'm happy to help.

We are a smoke free home, and although items are stored in a pet-free room, they have been used and loved in the past, and are subject to contact with pets, smoke, liquor, parties, weddings, food, funerals, etc. Many pieces are older than we are, so please expect that vintage clothes will not look like new. I describe all flaws to the best of my ability, but I'm only human, and some things, such as smells, are highly subjective. I have no control of where it has been, or how it has been stored, but I do avoid buying inventory that smells foul (smart, right?). All items should be carefully washed or dry-cleaned prior to use.
