Announcement   NOTICE: The items listed in our 5 DOLLAR CLOSEOUT section are nearing expiration. Once the listing expires, the item will never again appear in our shop. Some are even less than $5.00.

Please take a look at our CLEARANCE section. I am moving a number of items there and placing clearance prices on them. This is in addition to the $5 Dollar Closeout section where I list those items that have resisted selling and are now reduced to a bargain basement price of $5 or less. These items will never again appear after their scheduled advertising cycle. This is my last effort to sell them before I dispose of them by other means, usually donated locally.

Vintage with Soul is a collection of unique, collectable and humorous vintage finds. You will find an assortment of stunning vintage glassware, pottery and china, as well as a variety of other items, mostly from the 1940s through the 1970s, but we are working hard to obtain late 19th and early 20th century items.

I will entertain any reasonable offer. I am very likely to accept an offer where multiple items are involved. Just use the "Ask A Question" or "Contact Owner" links. You are under no obligation, even if I accept your offer, for a full 24 hours. I will hold the item on which you make an offer for at least 24 hours.

PLEASE READ ALL SHIPPING INFORMATION:

We have converted all of our listings to Etsy's new "calculated shipping" so that when you enter your zip code on the "Shipping & Policies" tab on any listing, you will see the actual cost to ship to you by USPS Priority Mail (normally). When you check out, you will see more detail to include all available shipping options for that particular item. It has been a lot of work to implement, but now there is no more guesswork on shipping costs.

Please note that this new system is not pefect, especially when you purchase more than one item. We reserve the right to change the shipping cost and notify you of the correct cost. Of course, you are under no obligation to complete the purchase if you do not want to accept the new cost, and we will refund your money quickly. In purchasing multiple items, the system might even overcharge you. Rest assured that we recalculate every shipment before mailing, and will refund any excess charge, if it exceeds $1.00.

If you are confused about shipping costs, or wonder if the shipping quote you see is wrong, please use the "Ask a Question" or "Contact Shop Owner" buttons, and we will be happy to answer any questions about shipping or the item itself.

We will ship internationally; however, you must contact us for the shipping cost to any country other than Canada prior to purchase (Canada is included in our current shipping profiles). We will update the listing with your cost as quickly as possible. We take no responsibility for any additional cost associated with international shipments.

The lid to my great grandmother's butter dish was accidentally broken and although this is not the exact match, I am not sure what the pattern to my previous lid was but, this lid fits perfectly and the pattern is very similar.

About

Old & Young Love Items From Our Past

My two adult daughters and I all love old things. None of us have a house big enough to collect AND keep all the cool stuff we come across . . . so we found Etsy as one way to enjoy acquiring all these wonderful things, and then pass them on to others who share our enthusiasm, or at least our love for any given item.

I started collecting crystal and other clear glass items about ten years ago. It was hard to keep to only one or two types of glassware. Other things crept in like china and porcelain. Before I knew it, I had quite a variety of unrelated items. It took a while to focus. But, now I buy most anything vintage that I see and like, hoping that someone else will enjoy.

I am retired, and enjoy the hunt for unusual and interesting old things. I'm partial to clear glass ware. My own collection includes mostly covered candy dishes, compotes, and trinket boxes, along with a sampling of plates, bowls, and more.

Shop policies

Last updated on April 12, 2016
We want our customers to be happy with their purchase, so we do our best to describe our items. We are not experts. We describe what we see, and include information from our own research, and try to be as accurate as possible. We do make mistakes. We try to attribute unmarked pieces to the maker based on available information, but this is more art than science. We try to convey all the characteristics and flaws of an item. Look at the pictures carefully, as they are part of the description. Please make sure that you read the description carefully before purchasing an item. We cannot warrant this type of information to be totally accurate. All of our items are sold AS-IS, since they are all old and used. Expect some minor flaws on vintage and antique items, even if they are not mentioned in the description.

Refunds and Exchanges
If you are not happy with your purchase for any reason, we will accept returns for shop credit or exchange, but shipping both ways is on you! The only exception to this policy is if the item's condition is substantially different as that described. In that unlikely event, we would refund everything including return shipping. Any returned item must be received in the same condition as sent. Again, I am a reasonable person, so let me know if you have a problem with your item and I will talk with you to resolve the issue. All of our shipments are insured. If yours is damaged, please let us know quickly.
Additional policies and FAQs
It is the buyer's responsibility to document damaged shipments. Please provide photos of the box unopened if there is obvious damage to it. Also, take photos of the opened box, packing material, and, of course, of the item itself.
