Welcome to my store Vintagiality where originality meets vintage. Carefully curated vintage clothing and accessories.

I have always been fascinated with old things. I get electrified by their presence the same way today as I did when I was five, digging through my grandmother's attic or great-aunt's closet. I love and collect a myriad of old items from antique medicine bottles to old office equipment, from vintage formal gowns to adorable vibrant antique purses. Someone once said that an antique not only recaptures the magic and nostalgia of the past, but has special powers as it bears witness to experiences long gone. I think that by sharing the past, we pave the way to share the future.

Many of the items in my shop come from estate sales and thrift shops on the island of Martha's Vineyard, a place full of history, and tradition, and a bit of innate nostalgia of the past, where big business chains are not allowed and the heritage of whale captains and the old founding families are still visible and time has moved just a bit slower than elsewhere in the US. The rest are sourced in historic towns around Massachusetts.

Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:

I want you to be happy with your purchase, and do my best to supply you with all of the information you need to make your buying decision with great confidence: complete measurements, accurate and thorough descriptions, including any flaws and photos of any flaws. Please remember that all the items I sell are vintage and have had a prior life unless specifically labeled as NOS/ NWT (new old stock/ new with tags). Many would have minor imperfections and are part of the charm of buying vintage.

Returns would only be accepted if I missed more than a minor flaw in the description and/ or photos of the item.

Please contact me with any question you have BEFORE purchasing, and use the measurements in inches I provide and compare to a similar garment that fits you well. I'm more than happy to provide extra measurements, photos or assistance with fit.
***I DO NOT accept returns for improper fit.***

If you are dissatisfied with your purchase for any reason, please contact me within 3 days of receipt. Customer satisfaction is of the utmost importance and I am always eager to answer any question or concerns.

If an arrangement has been made to return an item, it must be returned to me in the same original condition as it was when I shipped it out. Please note that I do not accept returns on wedding, prom/ party dresses and other "one-time-wear" items. I also do not accept returns on new old stock/ new with tag items (NOS/NWT) if you remove any of the tags.

REFUNDS: The maximum refund shall be the purchase price less the cost of shipping. For all items purchased with free shipping, I will net out my shipping cost from the refund. You can see the shipping cost on the postage label. I will not refund charges for shipping to you and the shipping cost of returning the item back to me.
I accept Etsy Payments, PayPal as well as all major credit cards. Additionally, I accept Etsy gift cards.

I kindly request payment immediately upon purchase unless prior arrangements have been made. I do offer a number of layaway plans (see details below). Should you have any problems with the payment process, please contact me and I will do the best I can to accommodate you.

I do reserve items upon request for UP TO two weeks for free. Please contact me to arrange specifics. I will hold the item until the agreed upon date only. If you need the item reserved for a longer period, please contact me about options. A 30% minimum down payment would be required in all cases to reserve items for more than two weeks.

Layaway plans are a way to pay for purchases in installments as a service to our customers. Etsy offers a wonderful service through Klarna to pay over time which is available in the US, Australia, Spain and the UK and allows you to get the item without waiting.

If you are not one of the countries where Klarna is available and you have found an item in the shop of $150 or more but need a little extra time to pay for it, please message me for a custom layaway plan that will reserve the item in your name.

Your payment plan will include the following terms:

✔Down payment: 30% of item price OR first payment, whichever is LARGER
✔Up to 60-days maximum payment term (90-day plans available for items over $300)
✔Weekly or monthly payment schedule

The item will be reserved in your name after the down payment has been made. It will be shipped after the final payment is made in full (including any associated shipping). If the customer fails to make payments on time or cancels the layaway plan, the merchandise is returned to the shop’s inventory and the customer forfeits ALL payments made to date. NO REFUNDS provided.

Plans will be automatically canceled after a 7-day grace period of missing your payment due date and all payments made until that point will be NON-refundable.
I make every effort to ensure that your purchase arrives safely and promptly. I will ship most items within one business day using the selected shipping method at the time of purchase or better. Most items are shipped USPS Priority Mail when mailed domestically in the US unless the expedited shipping option is selected. All items shipped within the US will be sent with tracking. Most international items are shipped USPS First Class International unless another service is selected during purchase. I provide a tracking number for international packages as well but please note that information is rarely updated once the items leaves the US. I am happy to combine shipping on items that can be safely shipped together.

International buyers, I do ship overseas but some exceptions apply***

International customers please note that I am not familiar with other countries customs requirements and will not be responsible for any duty charges or taxes you might incur. You, the purchaser, are responsible for any duties, tariffs, VAT or other taxes which may apply to purchases in your country. Vintagiality is NOT registered to collect VAT/GST in any country, so when you see Etsy's "VAT/GST included where applicable" statement under the price, please bear in mind it is NOT applicable to purchases in this shop and your country's normal VAT/GST procedures will apply. Please make yourself aware of these before purchasing. If they do apply, it is Etsy's policy to charge for VAT/GST. That charge will appear as a tax in addition to the purchase price and shipping.

Let me know if you would like a packaging slip included in your package. Please note that I will NOT falsify customs forms under ANY circumstances. That includes marking the item as a "gift" or under declaring its value which is the purchase price.

***I do NOT ship to Afghanistan, Angola, Bolivia, Brazil, Burma, Congo, Cuba, Iran, Iraq, Ivory Coast (Cote d'Ivoire), Liberia, Mexico, Nigeria, North Korea, Paraguay, Russia, Sierra Leone, Somalia, South Africa, Sudan, Syria, Venezuela as my shipping insurance company does not want to provide insurance for these countries. I am sorry for the inconvenience this may cause.
Additional policies and FAQs
Due to the unique nature of vintage items, there might be the occasional slight or trivial imperfection. Although I take great care of the used items once they reach me, please understand that they have had a previous life. Anything out of the ordinary will be accurately indicated in the item description but as I am also human, I may miss a small imperfection. Due to various storage environments, some items may benefit from laundering or dry cleaning prior to use.

If you like a piece of vintage clothing but you need it altered to fit, I am more than happy to provide you a quote for a custom alteration.
