Hello and thank you for coming to view my shop. I created Vintuous on the 1st January 2012 as a way to express my creativity and since then, my sister, Gemma has also come on board as she is infinitely talented and can be creative with anything from paint to masking tape. (Really!) And she is an AMAZING face painter...although not a talent that can be seen on Etsy! At the moment, we are enjoying making jewellery from buttons and beads, and have begun to make a series of bookmarks, entitled "Nose Stuck in a Book" because not only do we like to express our creativity, we also like to laugh, and read voraciously. We like to make things that express our ability to see the funny side. Despite both of us having babies recently, (two boys, one tiny girl) we are still making and loving it!

Accepted payment methods

  • Pay with Visa
  • Pay with Master Card
  • Pay with American Express
  • Pay with Discover
  • Pay with PayPal
We do prefer that any buyer pays with Paypal. You don't necessarily need to have an account as you can use a credit or debit card through Paypal-just follow the instructions.

All jewellery purchased will be send out within 1-2 working days of payment received. We would prefer that you pay within 3 days of your purchase otherwise the item purchased will be relisted. We will assume you do not want it.

As the bookmarks are custom made, we can need some time to complete your order. If you make an order for a bookmark, as soon as we receive payment, we will start the process of making your bookmark, personalising the embroidered handkerchief and packaging. We would endeavour to have that done within two days of your payment, but up to five days during busy periods.
If you are a U.K buyer, I use Royal Mail 1st class postage, which means that you should receive your goods within 1-2 days of posting. If you live in the U.K, you will know that this is not always reliable, but I always get proof of purchase and will email to let you know when your item is on its way.

If you make a higher value purchase, I will send via recorded delivery to buyers in the U.K.

I do not make a profit on the postage and packaging. The price refelcts the cost of sundries and posting with the Royal Mail service.

For international customers, I use Airmail, which should see your item arrive within 7 working days of posting.

I wrap all items individually in tissue paper and then package them in a white, customised box (for the bookmarks) or a customised, brown Kraft box (for jewellery). I then send goods in a padded envelope.
Refunds and Exchanges
I would really hope that you would be pleased with your purchase from Vintuous, but if you are not...

If you change your mind about a purchase (especially on custom made items, please contact me as soon as possible) If you want to return the item, contact me and let me know the problem, so that I can aim to recify it.

If you feel you would like to return the item, please do so in its original packaging. I will, thereafter, refund the item price and the original p&p costs. The responsibility of the return postage and packaging is yours. Make sure that you receive proof of posting if you are returning an item.

If it so happens, that the item is faulty (although I would really hope not), again, get in touch with me first and then, you can return it if it is within 60 days of your original purchase. I will then offer to refund the purchase price and original postage and packaging, or will offer to replace the item with something as close to the original as possible. If you return an item, please obtain proof of posting.
Additional policies and FAQs
International customers are responsible for any taxes imposed by their postal service.

I am always willing to accept custom orders, for both jewellery and bookmarks, if you'd like something extra special. For the bookmarks, there are lots of choices to be made: type of nose, glasses or no glasses, book it is based on, colours, quotation, colour of handkerchief, inscription on handkerchief, colour of embroidery thread, if you want a picture embroidered onto the handkerchief, if you would like the embellishments on the packaging a particular colour etc. Just get in touch and we can discuss what you would like.

If you would prefer to have the bookmarks without the handkerchiefs, I can give you a discounted price, especially for bulk orders. Just convo me to discuss.
