Natural instincts, metro life...

I started my shop to sell photographs I took on the North Shore in Minnesota, but as soon as I learned how to crochet, I knew I was hooked -- pun regrettably intended.

I am a fiddler, and I love creating my own patterns to suit different functions. It's been an interesting way to explore problems, and some solutions have become items I really want to share as I continue to develop these crafts -- but I must confess, I'm a tad picky. I'm very dedicated to using environmentally conscious and sustainable materials in my attempts to create items that offer practical functionality with chic, and occasionally nerdy, flare. In the end, I love creating things and sharing what I make. I'm very grateful to everyone who has supported me in this. I love whipping up scarves to suit a costume, embroidering goofy totes and molding unique accent pieces, and I love collaboration! It's a joy, so if you think I can help you create something, please feel free to message me. Custom orders are always welcome.

The other artists on Etsy inspire me a lot. This place is truly like a playground, and nothing is more flattering and joyous than being able to share your toys with others in the sandbox.

I'm a country girl who ran off to the city with no regrets, but I still love me some nature, and I feel strongly compelled to creatively explore ways to use sustainable, ethically-sourced materials.

Thank you for visiting my online store. I am an independent crafter living in Minneapolis. Most of my creations start as quirky ideas I come up with while camping, or pining for tea. I am deeply committed to creating fun, funky and functional pieces in a sustainable and responsible way. I always strive to use eco-friendly or recycled materials as much as possible, and much of the yarn I buy comes from companies who give a portion of the proceeds to charities benefiting schoolchildren and women in Indonesia, Tibet, Peru and many regions in Africa. All proceeds I generate from sales are spent reinvesting in these products and finding new ways to use them. I am continually honored and flattered that buyers help me in this process and welcome these quirky little creations into their lives. Sincerely, I thank you.

If you like one of the products I have listed but would like a custom-made version that is slightly different (different colors, for example), please feel free to contact me via Etsy Conversations, and I would be happy to try and create a custom listing for you to order, if feasible.

Returns and exchange details
Once the item is shipped, I claim no responsibility for lost or damaged orders. Since the proceeds go promptly to reinvestment in materials, I do not offer refunds should the package not arrive; however, I am happy to help track down your package or provide a replacement as soon as possible if necessary, depending upon supply availability. To date, I have not had a single delivery failure. If your order is damaged during delivery, please contact me directly and we can discuss solutions.

If you live in the Twin Cities metro area and contact me via Etsy Conversations before the transaction goes through, I will remove all shipping costs to instead meet and deliver your item in person once the transaction is finalized through Etsy.
I accept payment via PayPal, Etsy Gift Card redemption, and credit cards.
I use the United States Postal Service for all of my shipping. I ship at the Post Office in person for each sale. I include the cost of packaging materials in the shipping cost of each item.

I send the majority of my crochet pieces via First Class mail; however, I am willing to upgrade if contacted prior to purchase so I can adjust the shipping price on the listing.

I ship delicate items or photography prints through Flat Rate Priority Mail to ensure shipping handling preferences are taken into account. I do not normally insure these packages, but could do so on request after adjusting the shipping costs on the listing prior to sale.

I always mark sent items as shipped the same day they are sent, provided that it is not an international sale. Shipping number issues can snag up that process, but I will communicate directly in those instances.
