About VivaDelfina

Sales 1,854
On Etsy since 2015

inspired by nature

Nestled in Paradise Valley, a desert oasis northeast of Phoenix, is the vibrant studio where the mariposa magic of Viva Delfina happens. Featuring a collection of handmade accessories for women, the design aesthetic elicits the surreal, think Frida Kahlo meets Alexander McQueen at a cosmic fiesta...

Viva Delfina is the creation of owner and designer Randi Matalas, who for 6 years has grown her online Etsy store known for eccentric butterfly headpieces, catering to enthusiastic customers worldwide. She has collaborated with brands such as Free People and Sophia Webster, her designs have graced the catwalk at New York Fashion Week, have been seen on the pages of Vogue, and even made an appearance on the season finale of Orange is the New Black.

Viva Delfina is ultimately a celebration of life, a time to let your hair down and party, whether you're wearing your piece for a music festival or your special day.

Who is Delfina? She represents our highest self, the fully metamorphosed version we are all working towards becoming.

In the words of Frida Kahlo, "VIVA LA VIDA!"

Frequently asked questions

Care instructions

CLEANING:
All headpieces are made from natural fiber feathers. The feathers can be wiped cleaned using a soft, dry cloth or a natural-bristled artist's brush. Make sure to follow the natural direction of the plumage to softly brush away dust. Never brush against the natural grain or growth of a feather and take care not to break the quill with too much pressure.

PRESERVATION:
Store your headpiece away from dust, moisture and bright light. While feathers may seem to be waterproof, it is only the secretions from certain glands on live birds that keep the feathers coated with oils. If this oil is removed by washing, dust collection, etc., they begin to lose their suppleness and deteriorate. Feathers survive the longest in temperatures of 60
