About

The chapters that make up Vol.25

In January of 2008, I claimed VOL.25 as my business name, bought a business license, mustered up some confidence and opened an etsy shop to sell my artwork. Opening this volume in my life at the age of 25, has since created several new chapters for my family and I over the past 8 years. I never could have imagined that the power of the internet, a site like etsy and a love to create would bring me to where I am today. My dreams for VOL.25 began very humble. As a stay at home mom (to just one daughter at the time) it was simply a creative outlet, that could possibly earn our family some extra spending money while still allowing me to stay at home with our girls.

// My Journey through Art //
As a child I had always enjoyed drawing, as a teen I had mainly worked with pencil and graphite. I was fortunate enough to have my art hanging in a gallery at the young age of 16. One of the curators of the gallery took an interest in my art and was eager to critique and encourage. I remember her telling me that I had an artists' license, and I was allowed to freely use it however I wished. The things I drew did not need to be accurate, I could change anything I chose, and represent them in an entirely new light. As a completely self taught artist, her words were encouraging and priceless.

Years after getting married and a year after giving birth to our first daughter, I felt compelled to get back in touch with the artistic part of myself. Only I chose a completely new journey, in the form of digital art and graphic design. I purchased my first pen tablet and I spent hours in photoshop learning my way around the program. The pen tablet took some getting used to, but over time I felt comfortable enough with my art to put it out in the world. I will admit I was terrified of rejection, and filled with doubt. But somehow, I managed to take that first big leap and make myself vulnerable. I am so glad I did. The response was amazing, and within a year of opening I had already signed a contract with a licensing agent.

// A Licensed Artist //
With the help of my licensing agent I have been able to see my art printed on Journals, calendars, notebooks, cell phone cases, cards and even wood plaques. It is really exciting to see or hear of my art recognized within the walls of Hobby Lobby, Barnes & Noble, TJ's, or even Chapters. I have even been fortunate enough to have Hallmark license a couple images, that was a pinch-able worthy moment!

// A Move To The Mountains //
At the end of 2012 my husband and I sold our home in Prosser, WA and moved our family of four to the Methow Valley. We bought a cabin at the edge of Washington's North Cascade Mountains. The fresh mountain air and simpler way of life inspires the direction of my work. I strive to create simple, beautiful, encouraging art that will help carry you through the toughest of days. Gentle reminders are most effective when sprinkled in your environment. :)

Welcome!

Thank you for taking the time to stop by my shop. Here you will find all the little details that keep vol.25 up and running. I want you to be super happy with your canvas art. If you have a question that did not get addressed, feel free to send me an etsy conversation, or an e-mail at contact [!at] vol25.com. I promise I am friendly, and will get back with you asap!

Accepted payment methods

Payment
Regarding Paypal Payments:

Paypal is my preferred method of payment, you do not actually need a paypal account to make a payment through paypal. Just a valid credit card.

Regarding Checks:

I accept checks, but please keep in mind that your print(s) will not be mailed until the check clears. I believe 10 business days is a reasonable amount of time for this to happen. e-checks sent through paypal clear a little faster, but keep in mind the same rule applies to these checks as well.
Shipping
Prints: Print orders are shipped within 1-4 business days. US orders are shipped via priority mail and are estimated to take 2-3 business days transit time. * Excluding holidays.

Wall hangings: Because there are more supplies and labor involved in the creation of a science poster I like to allow a couple extra days as a buffer. Typically it doesn't take the full 6 business days and I can get them out sooner, especially if I have a pretty good stock of posters ready to go out. A particularly busy week where I sell more than expected it takes the full 6 days, because I am also replenishing stock.

All international print orders are shipped via First Class Mail international, are processed between 1-4 days unless prior arrangements have been made. Unfortunately a tracking number is not available when shipping internationally. Most orders are received within the week, but on occasion an international order may take anywhere from 1-3 weeks to arrive.
Refunds and Exchanges
While I try my hardest to insure the colors you see on your monitor are the colors you receive on your artwork... please keep in mind that monitor colors vary. Your print may vary ever so slightly from mine.
Additional policies and FAQs
Regarding Wholesale requests:

I welcome any wholesale requests. Please e-mail contact [!at] vol25.com for a list of current wholesale pricing/availability.

Regarding Custom Requests / color changes:

I am staying so busy with my two shops, that I have had to stop accepting custom work at this time. While I hate telling people I cant help them, doing so has helped me balance my hobby turned business with my family/wife/mommy time. Thank you for understanding.
