I requested custom engraved handles and she had no problem getting those done for me! Time zones slowed communication, but it got sorted effortlessly and shipping was lightning fast. I did think the entire handle was solid wood. It’s a wood overlay on the metal though. I didn’t see that in the description. Not a big deal, but not what I was expecting. Still very beautiful! They are also heavy, which I like. I believe they will hold up well!

Feeling Blessed to be able to Create..

Creating things of beauty and having them appreciated is one of the most rewarding things to do. I feel blessed that the things I make become part of someone's life.. a special treasure.. a keepsake... a memento of good times in Hawaii.

Attracted by the spiritual power of the Volcano and remoteness of the area, my husband and I moved to Volcano in 1994 and ever since enjoy living on our private acreage being surrounded by a beautiful tropical rainforest. We welcomed the change to take life at a slower pace, to spend as much time with each other as possible, and to work towards one of our dreams to become full-time artists. This was quite a change from our regular hectic corporate life ( My husband as an Industrial Designer and Engineer, and me, a Graphic Artist and Software Programmer) but a welcome challenge and adventure. Our time in Volcano has been nothing short of unpredictable but being artists at heart "adaptability" is one of our talents.

Along their road to becoming full-time artists, my husband perfected cutting gemstones and is now a Master Gem Cutter recognized by the International Gemcutter’s Association. He is the only colored gemstone cutter in Hawaii, and also a Professional Certified Gemologist (CG)..

We are proud to be “Makers of Beautiful Things” and feel very privileged of being able to live in one of the most beautiful places in Hawaii, the upland rainforest of Volcano, which is located right next to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, and truly a unique location.

Each of our new creations start with a spark of an idea that becomes the desire to turn that idea into a piece of art. We often collaborate together to come up with a design that is pleasing to the eye and they both can agree on, and then work together to shape metal into a thing of beauty and transform natures raw elements into something great. First they design.. then we create.. and then it is for you to enjoy. All their creations are intended to bring a little bit of the Hawaiian Aloha into your heart and home.
