As a first time buyer, I could not be more satisfied with my purchase. If I didn’t know that Voyage was written, edited, and published by a team of university students, I would have never guessed. Every single aspect of these magazines showcase a polish and passion that makes reading them such a pleasurable experience. From the quality of the pages and the ink, to the weight of the book in your hands, to the minimalistic yet effective formatting as you flip through the pages, Voyage makes a great first impression.

You can expect tons of photographs and illustrations, including full-blown dual page spreads, that are so crisp with beauty and purpose. And when you actually start to read the articles, you immediately recognize that every writer has their own voice—a perspective that’s theirs and theirs alone, which has not been filtered out, but rather is gloriously exhibited.

To me, Voyage is a treasure, one that I feel fortunate to have discovered. A big part of what makes humans “human” is the perpetual desire to follow our hearts, and here we have a team of incredibly talented and dedicated young adults, doing exactly that: taking the time and effort to put their hearts onto paper, and sharing it with the world.

I would recommend Voyage to anyone and everyone, because I truly believe that everyone and anyone would find something they can connect to. The issues of Voyage that I purchased took me on quite the journey, and I will be eagerly awaiting future releases.

Voyage isn't your typical travel magazine.

First off, we're entirely student-run. Crafted by our team of undergraduate students at the University of Washington in Seattle, we produce issues on a bi-annual basis for readers all around the world.

Secondly, we believe that "traveling" is a complex and multi-faceted journey. Unlike most travel magazines, we go beyond romanticizing "exotic" cultures and attempt NOT to view the world through a one-dimensional, rose-tinted lens. We hope to leave something good behind when we travel, and we use our platform to share stories from historically underrepresented writers, photographers, and storytellers from all backgrounds and identities.

In the past, we have released 6 issues, including the "Food Issue" the "Perspective Issue" and the "Reclaiming Narratives Issue" - to discuss the importance of representation in the outdoor and travel community.
