About

Eat More Cake!

Fishcakes accidentally became a business in 2001. There wasn't a plan, just some animal drawings on cards, and canvas patches with toothy monsters bearing warnings: I'm Grumpy. I'm Weird. I Disobey.

Since then, there are nearly 200 designs, and we've sent thousands of little monsters out into the world. We think this a good thing. The world needs more dessert-loving, semicolon-using, crafty, noisy, bookish monsters who love prime numbers and bugs.

Despite referring to ourselves in the plural first person, Fishcakes is actually just Voz Perkins. When we say "we" we're obviously including the monsters.

Voz spends a lot of time making stuff, doodling monsters, and trying to choose between tea and coffee.

Voz is a big fan of spontaneous absurdity, enjoying yourself, excessive giggling, and finding things to fall in love with. She doodles, glues, and sews monsters in a lovely old mill in Pawtucket, RI.

Payment
We accept credit card payments through Etsy, or payments through Paypal. Orders must be paid in full before your item(s) ship.
Shipping
We ship within 5 days of purchase. Packages ship First Class unless you've chosen an expedited rate. You will receive notification when your package ships including any tracking information the post office supplies.

♥ You get extra bonus points if you reuse your envelope or packaging. ♥
Refunds and Exchanges
If your whatever-you-ordered comes damaged just let us know and we'll replace it.

If you got something other than what you ordered (we have so many designs & so many different things with the same design on them, we get confused sometimes!), let us know and we'll send you the *correct* item(s) as well as a postage paid padded envelope to return whatever you didn't order, but got.

If you decide you wanted a different whatever-you-ordered you can send it back and we'll exchange it. We do expect the customer to pay for the shipping on the return item.

☆ ★ CUSTOM ORDERS ★ ☆

We don't, in general, do custom designs. Rubber stamps are the most requested custom item, but because of the way we manufacture our stamps, we can't do a one-of-a-kind design for a reasonable price. (However, a "custom rubber stamp" search on Etsy might yield results that help you in your quest.)

We're happy to make custom *listings* if you don't see what you want, but you know you've seen it here before.

Most items can be relisted after they've sold, so if you see something in the SOLD section that you wish you'd bought, send a convo to see if more are available.
