About

A Life-Long Love of Photography, Nature & Science Brought Me Here

Like so many photographers out there my interest in photography started early and was a hobby for a long time before I decided to try to do more. I got my first camera when I was 11 and spent the next several years taking a lot of pictures of my cats and any interesting clouds that I spotted.

I headed off to college with my heart set on a degree in Earth & Atmospheric Science. But being evenly divided by a love for science and a love for creativity isn't easy...my creative side took over just long enough for me to get a degree in Industrial Design instead of EAS.

After graduating from college and slogging through several unsatisfying jobs I decided to try working independently, something I had always wanted to do. I currently work as a real estate and architectural photographer. My camera goes with me on all of my travels and adventures and accompanies me into the garden from early spring through late fall (and sometimes in the winter). I'm as happy as a clam while I crawl around in the dirt looking for interesting leaves, ferns, mushrooms, moss and more.

Returns and exchange details
I want you to be happy with the print that you receive! Please keep in mind that the final print might vary slightly in color, saturation, contrast or brightness due to the differences from one monitor to another.

I will issue refunds if necessary, but there isn't much point in asking customers to return prints to me since each print is created for each specific customer request. All refunds will be dealt with on a case by case basis. Please let me know immediately if you receive a print that has been damaged in shipping.
Shipping
PRINTING:
I have my photos printed by two different online labs depending on the size of the print and the number of prints ordered. Both labs produce beautiful, sharp prints. I'm working towards buying my own top-notch printer =)

I ship all prints to myself first so that I can inspect them, re-package them and then send them on to the customer. This process means that it can be up to a week after an order is placed before I can ship the print to the customer. High quality, professional photo printers are quite expensive! Using these print labs is a great way for me to be able to send high quality prints to my customers.

TIMING:
I do keep some prints on-hand, so I can sometimes get prints in the mail on the next mailing day. Most prints, however, will ship within seven days of being ordered (except for on weekends and holidays). I will let you know when your item has shipped. Custom orders or large quantities might take a little bit longer.

Prints being shipped outside of the United States will take a little bit longer than domestic orders.

I will ship to your Etsy address, so please make sure it's correct! If you want me to ship to a different address please leave a message in "Note to Seller."

PACKAGING:
Prints will be shipped one of three ways depending on the size. (1) In a shipping tube, (2) a cardboard mailer/cellophane sleeve or (3) carefully wrapped in plastic and sandwiched between two pieces of corrugated cardboard with enough extra space around the print(s) to ensure that they stay flat and that the corners/edges are not damaged during shipping.

Most images are printed on Fuji Crystal Archive Super Type PD, Professional Lustre Finish paper (what a mouthful!).
