About

i love lettering

wabi-sabi (noun): [Japanese] a philosophy of aesthetics that emphasizes the beauty of the imperfect, impermanent, and incomplete

For as long as I can remember, I loved to practice my handwriting. When I was a child, I found some architect’s blueprints in our home and I would copy the lettering for hours on end. In middle school, I was the go-to person who forged p.e. excuse notes for my friends.

Now that I am a grown up, I have decided to use my power for good.

The unique nature of my hand-lettering renders the beauty of wabi-sabi and will add a special touch to your event.

I live in Portland, Oregon with my husband, son and our rescue dogs, Scooter (who hates to have his photograph taken, even though he has his own tumblr account) and Pogo.

Feel free to contact me with any questions you have about my calligraphy services.

Hello & welcome to my store. I am a modern-style calligrapher and I am happy to work with you to meet your calligraphy needs.

My goal is to enable everyone to incorporate the beauty of calligraphy into their life.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions you have. I look forward to working with you.

Accepted payment methods

  • Accepts Etsy Gift Cards and Etsy Credits
Returns and exchanges
Because of the unique nature of each project, there will be no refunds.

Please keep in mind that colors & lettering can vary depending on the materials that are used, word choices, ink choice, and size of materials i.e. size of paper used.

Before I start your calligraphy project, you can request that I send you a photograph via text of a sample of your project. From there we can discuss any changes you may have and come up with a solution that meets your needs. My goal is to make you happy.

I strive my best to complete your project to your satisfaction. I am happy to discuss options if you are unhappy with the job I do.

I am not responsible for shipping or custom delays, these issues are out of my control.
Payment
Once we discuss your project via email, over the phone or video chat, or if you live in Portland, Oregon, I would be happy to meet with you. I will let you know how much your project will cost. Once we arrange payment options, I will set up a special etsy item for your project for you to pay me. Shipping, ink, and other special orders will be calculated.

I require a 50% deposit on all orders before I will begin on your project. The remaining balance will be due before I mail your project back to you.

If your project has a short turnaround time of less than three weeks, I require full payment before I start on your project.
Shipping
We can discuss which shipping option will best meet your needs.

Shipping is done via priority mail through the US Postal Service.

If priority mail is out of your budget, I will mail items first-class, please contact me for prices. Please keep in mind that first-class mail will take longer and I am not responsible for shipping delays.

For international orders, please allow at least 4 weeks (or longer) for shipping via first-class mail. Recommended shipping method is priority international shipping.

International customers are responsible for any VAT, duty fees, taxes, or other fees that may be imposed by your Country.

My goal is to get your order completed in a timely manner to allow for standard shipping times but I am not responsible for shipping delays out of my control i.e. misdirected packages, custom delays, incorrect mailing address.

Please make sure your shipping address on file with Etsy is correct.

I am not responsible for items sent to the WRONG address. Additional shipping costs will be charged if I have to resend an item due to items being shipped to an incorrect address.
