About

Making Awesome Stuff for Awesome People

The items in"Toys in the Attic" only have one function - make people happy. The aim and objective is bring the consumer to that place of being free of complication and to just have fun.

The sockmonstahs arose from a fund raiser in 2008. It is true that Wacky Jacky wasn't the first to make creatures out of socks or to re-purpose clothing, her creations possess the balance of fun and detail that gives evidence to the case that all crafty bitches make - that crafts are art.

Jacky has been wacky since birth, but wasn't anointed with the title until she was 4 by a classmate, who ceremoniously proceed to give all of the other children "her touch". She has since embraced being wacky as "Toys in the Attic" is the result.

Toys in the Attic: Affordable Sock Sculptures for the Whole Family!

I hope you have as much hanging out with your monstah(s) as I did making them! They are assembled by hand, by one person - me. I paint all of their eyes as well.

Just to clarify - all of the profits from the Charity Monstahs' sales go to Etsy for Charity's Charity of the Month. NOT ALL MONSTAHS ARE SOLD FOR CHARITY! The recipient of the donation will be specified in the item(s) description as well as the section of the stop where in the item can be found. If you know of a charity you think the sockmonstahs should help, just convo me with the details.

To find out more about the nonprofits I'm committed to helping, check their respective websites:

Payment
I expect payments within 72 hours of purchase unless you have communicated with me and we make an arrangement in advance of making a purchase. As long as the purchaser stays in contact with me, i will be more flexible, communication is key!
Shipping
I will not include a invoice/packing slip with your order as I try to operate with the lowest overhead. All documents related to the the sale of each item can be found through your etsy account and paypal if applicable. Plus, I don't want to waste paper on something that is just going to end up in the trash. Items are shipped with a tag, however, and special gift wrapping can be done upon request for an additional fee which calculated on a case by case basis - more fancy stuff, the more it will cost.

I ship things rather promptly. If I receive an order that is paid in full before 3pm EST, 50% of the time I will ship it that same day as long as it's a business day. If I receive it after 3pm EST, it will be typically shipped the next business day. The maximum amount of time it will take me to ship it is 3 days - items are usually shipped first class. I reserve the right not to ship an item until I receive payment in full.

All shipping prices are based on weight and packaging costs.

I will Email you once it's shipped and follow up to see if everything is satisfactory.
Refunds and Exchanges
No refunds on charity items, but that doesn't mean if something legitimately went awry you are not entitled to any kind of compensatiion. Just convo me and we could always work something out.

I try give people the same level of customer service that I would appreciate.
