Check out the VINTAGE T SHIRT section. I had to add it, because some are just-- well, "Too Cool To Cut"
-- More too come.......

A portion of every sale supports me in creating and donating multi-purpose scarves and Tees to the Homeless and Forgotten Workers in the Detroit area. Thank you in advance.

Doing something to make things better has been a way of life for me, from my 30 year career as a counselor/yoga & meditation teacher, a mother and more recently a full-time volunteer in the US and overseas for the last 4 years.
Ever since I was a child I always wanted to know what this life was really about, what was the best way to live it, and how to help make things better. Could never really get the hang of just being a consumer, that never made much sense to me. So after years and years of diving in head first studying, traveling, experiencing, I am coming to some modicum of peace with "just what is.." and taking a step back now to relax and CREATE! I have always loved fabric and sewing and I am having so much fun putting together these vintage and up cycled logos from t-shirts combing them with colors in various palettes, and to my shock and delight, other people like them too! And yet still, it was pointed out to me recently that purpose has emerged once again. Upcycling, repurposing and creating cool new stuff out of hidden ole treasures. What could be more fun than that?

So please enjoy browsing through to find your new favorite Go-To, One Of A Kind scarf in trendy colors and logos, handmade and 100% cotton.
Or repurposed your own T-shirts by sending them to me, and I'll turn it into your new all purpose Scarf.

New designs are listed continuously. Many make a meaningful statement, some are just plain fun, mysterious, and sophisticated.
All are politely priced.

If you simply send me that favorite t shirt that has seen better days. You know, the one that you just love but don't want to part with? We'll chat and I'll find just the right upcycled fabrics and colors to transform it into your new favorite infinity single or double loop scarf.

Kathy took some of my treasured t shirts that I just couldn't let go of, and custom made these amazing scarves that I get to wear and have the memories that come with them. Some of them were over 20 years and gifts from people who are gone now.

About

Infinity Scarves with Infinite Possibilities and "Too Cool To Cut" Vintage Tees

At the risk of saying the same thing as everyone else does about their handmade items, .... I love creating......ahhh.... lol. Let me start again.
During the years as a mom, wife (still am those things), counselor, yoga instructor (way before it was THE thing), and a few years as a full-time volunteer, I always had this yearning in the back of my mind to do something creative with fabric. I did do it... in fits and starts, making curtains for our house, pillows, decorating for Christmas with unusual materials and colors, all the while lingered this one oddly throbbing idea--to make scarves from vintage tees and up cycled fabric in all sorts of funky and fun combinations. I could just see them in my minds' eye.
To be perfectly honest, I actually tried to pass this idea off to a few other friends while I was still encumbered and unable to pursue it.
They kinda looked at me sideways and said, "Ummm yea, mayybbe.... well, really?, umm actually, no thanks."
I said, "Why not? It would be sooo fun."
And then one day, just a year or so ago, there came a break in the clouds of responsibility and causes. The sky opened and I found myself standing in a clear sunny space and I went for it. Like a bee to honey, or is it a bee to a flower? or is it I made a bee-line for it? Regardless....

And here now, I will say the same thing as everyone who gives their all to the handmade items they create: .... "Every bit of it has been fun, creative, inspiring, frustrating, and huge learning curve so far." Creating very welcome new grooves in my brain.
My greatest joy is laying the cut pieces out on my new white living room carpet. (Yes, I have a WHITE carpet now. Can you believe it? Just an area rug really, Now that I'm finally child and pet free. :) I leave the pieces there to "cure" for a couple of days. I walk around them and around them, feeling into what is just the right amount of funk and just the right touch of sophistication, making sure they are not too cutesy, not to crafty looking, until just the right combo of colors and logos fall into place and I go, "Ohhhh right. I see! That goes with that, not that with THAT." And Whallaa.... Waiting For Harry happens. I hope you enjoy them as much I enjoy making them. I know that's what everyone else says too. Oh well. It's true.

I have always LOVED fabric and color. So much fun discovering, designing, and sewing these unique pieces. My canvas is my white wool living room carpet on which I place several fabric combos and let them 'cure' until they are ... just right!
