Wanded for life...
Years and years ago.. seems like forever ago anyway.. I had a tiny little Etsy shop for custom Swarovski transfer template designs. That was a lot of fun. And then my tablet broke! I closed up shop temporarily, fully intending to reopen as soon as I got a replacement. Joke’s on me! I never got another one!! So the shop stayed closed and life moved on.
In 2012 I (re)taught myself how to crochet, because it felt like I was missing something. Sure, I was still crafting - paper, polymer clay, etc. - but I needed to find something I truly LOVED to do. I remembered my grandma teaching me how to knit and crochet when I was in high school. I wasn’t very good at it to be honest, but it was one of those things that only I did with my grandma. She had taught herself, and then taught me (without the properly terminology), and I kind of failed to make anything other than a scarf (with dropped stitches that she picked up for me). Fast forward to 2012 and seeing adorable amigurumis all over the place, that I couldn’t make but wanted to. First thing I ever made was a dragon from All About Ami and I was so proud of it. It wasn’t perfect, but I loved it. Leave it to me to skip basic scarf making and move straight to toys. I did eventually go back to the beginning and made scarves, hats, mitts, coasters, washcloths, etc. though.
7 years later, I finally decided it was time to (re)teach myself how to knit. I was sick of passing up beautiful knit patterns and not being able to knit one single stitch of them. First thing off the needles? Another great one from All About Ami - The Dotty Beanie! I’m completely smitten with knitting and it’s nice to be able to change up between hook and needles to rest my hands. 8 months later, October 2019, after being asked by quite a few people if I had an Etsy shop, I decided to reopen the little tiny shop and rebranded it to knit and crochet items.
Everything listed has been approved by my kids for sale. Yep. They’ve claimed so much stuff I said it’s time to share. :)
Thanks for stopping by!
