Announcement   Hand painted blocks, bookends and buckets make up my Wandering Starfish Collection!

I love color and texture and working with wood and metal and making things that are fun and stylish!! If you like these things too and decide to bring them into your home or gift them to a friend then even better!!

***Please read my shop policies for important information before ordering! Current turnaround time for bins is approximately 1- 3 days before shipping.

I absolutely love old fashioned buckets and pails. Finding ways to make them pretty and useful has been my hobby for several years now. Sharing them with friends and family was great fun but sharing them with the rest of the world is even better.

I paint my bins with Annie Sloan Chalk paint with a variety of finishes from modern to rustic and distressed, turning them into one of a kind pieces that can be used anywhere in the house or garden. They are sealed for durability and can be used indoors or outdoors.

They mix style with function. What better way to gather up clutter than in a pretty little pail on your counter? Why use a boring plastic box for your toiletries when you could use a colorful hand painted tub?

My blocks are also hand painted and distressed followed by a decoupage method to add the letters. These blocks are beautiful and feel like velvet in your hand. They transcend a child's toy and become unique home décor. Use them to spell your family name or create a phrase to express your personal style! These make amazing photo props for babies or maternity shoots.

Turnaround time for blocks is 3-7 days prior to shipping- these are often ordered custom and so are not made until after the order is processed - hence the longer turnaround!

NOTE- this is a bit different than the items that I sold previously. I used to decoupage my buckets and blocks with patterned paper and often added other customizations. While I truly loved these items they became too expensive to create and also began to feel a bit manufactured and did feed my need to create. I am very sorry to any customers who miss those items and I sincerely hope that you find my hand painted items to be just as fun and stylish as the old! Thank you so much for your support.

Enjoy!

My goal is to help people be stylishly organized. Plus I just love making these items! All of my buckets and pails are hand painted with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint, typically featuring a distressed vintage design.

Since these items are handmade, please expect that there are the normal imperfections associated with handmade items. This adds to the charm!

Shipping
My buckets are somewhat bulky and so the most cost efficient shipping is typically USPS ground- which can take up to 1 week for delivery. I would of course be happy to use priority or express if requested ahead of time and would add the extra cost to the sale.

Blocks, bookends, clipboards etc can usually be sent by priority mail and I will always send your item by the fastest method that falls within the postage paid amount. Larger quantities or certain destinations may require ground delivery.

SHIPPING RATES ARE FOR THE LOWER 48 STATES ONLY. Alaska, Hawaii, US Territories and some Remote Rural Areas can be higher. Customers will be notified with additional amounts and given an adjusted invoice.

Insurance is recommended, I package my items carfefully but bins can become damaged in transit and shippers do not cover this without insurance - if you would like your purchase insured convo me and I will add it to the sale. I may add insurance to any orders of $100 or more. There are no refunds for items damaged during shipping without insurance.

Wandering Starfish is not responsible for items lost or misdrected in the mail. If you need your item by a specific date I will do my best to work with you but cannot guarantee delivery times.
Refunds and Exchanges
I strive to make a quality product and work with each customer to meet thier needs. If you are unhappy with your item I will offer to refund the cost if notified within 3 days of recieving your item. Shipping charges cannot be refunded. Custom/personalized orders cannot be refunded unless defective.

Color and design selection is key to creating the perfect item- keep in mind that colors can vary greatly between computer monitors and what you see on your computer may vary slightly from the true printed product. I try to be descriptive in the naming of my colors to further assist you. If the exact shade is important to you please ask for clarification before ordering and I will describe the color or may be able to send a sample swatch of the paper to you. There are no refunds for color variations/misunderstandings.

Please always communicate in the event of an issue and I will try to resolve it to everyones satisfaction.
Additional policies and FAQs
Some buckets are watertight and some require plastic liners which are available.
These bins are not for direct food contact - please use a napkin or towel as a liner.
These buckets are made of metal and are not toys - please supervise children and check for any ragged edges.

The rough industrial nature of my items is what make my items so unique and interesting. Please keep in mind that small imperfections in the buckets and wood are normal and part of the character of your item.
