This is my favorite print of hers! Got it in a larger 8x10 size. Great shop to work with and fast response to questions. Thank you!

Helping others without leaving home

Decades ago with no education or income, my great-aunt Min would design and hand sew all my dolls' clothes. She made miniature furniture and drew fantastic pictures. She made jewelry out of pumpkin seeds. She knew papier mache. I strove to be mini-Minnie trying to be as artistic and creative as her. Did I mention how much fun we had??? Oh, and she was instrumental in convincing my parents I needed a dog. My first love was a dachshund.

About seven years ago I became mostly homebound due to one of my children's illnesses. My husband was in school in order to change careers and clearly we needed an income! I stumbled across Etsy and had an "I bet I can do that" moment.

Starting out painting roosters, I had my first customer. Next came angels, and animals, lots and lots of angels. And animals. Love them both. We live in Wisconsin but so far I haven't convinced my husband that I need a small farm. Still working on it though...

One of the best parts of Etsy experience has turned out to be the customers. I began hearing wonderful stories from people, about how some of my work was helping them, in some cases immensely. It was very rewarding, knowing I could touch peoples' lives without leaving home.

Welcome to Watercolorqueen, the biggest bestest little shop on Etsy (in our humble opinion, of course). We offer a wide array of comforting dogs, cats, and other animals in the arms of angels. We also have many breeds of dogs and cats and other animals in fun settings, such as bathtubs, chasing after squirrels, playing with Faberge eggs and tracking down leprechauns and their pot of gold along with a wide selection of Christmas cards. We know you will find something you like; we hope you will find something that you love. If you have any questions about our products, please contact us. We answer as soon as we can. We try to not to let the sun set on a curious Etsy member.
