About

Wave Jewelry

Many people have asked me why I've named my business "Wave Jewelry". I love to surf and a big part of surfing is looking at waves and judging their potential for a good ride. I found that the more I sat on my surfboard, out in the lineup observing waves, the more wave shapes began appearing in my jewelry designs.
I was first introduced to the jewelry arts by a jewelry making class taught by Eleanor Meadows at Mesa College in San Diego, California and furthered my education in silversmithing with an apprenticeship in Taxco, Mexico.
I've been hand fabricating silver and gold jewelry for over 30 years and I feel very fortunate that I've found a way of making a living doing something I love.

I've been interested in crafting since I was a kid. I've dabble in ceramics, painting, beading, embroidery and macramé but I became interested in making silver and gold jewelry in college. I've been a self-employed jeweler ever since!
