Announcement   I sell my original paintings, vintage costume and fine jewelry, my handmade jewelry, and vintage accessories. Many of my vintage costume jewelry pieces are signed, and some are fine jewelry - with solid gold, cultured pearls, and precious stones (even diamonds!).
For my one-of-a-kind handmade jewelry, I use sterling silver, 14K gold fill, semi-precious stones, freshwater pearls and Swarovski crystals.
I also use some vintage costume chains, beads and charms, and re-purpose them into contemporary designs.
I literally have hundreds of vintage and hand made jewelry items that are not photographed and listed yet, so please feel free to contact me with any requests or questions.

I have recently decided to sell my paintings on Etsy, and am currently adding them. I use Acrylics and mixed media, and usually paint in a style called Abstract Impressionism. My paintings are original one-of-a-kind, and are not duplicated to be sold as copies. They are copyrighted, and no images on any website may be copied without my permission.

My paintings can also be viewed at my art website www.artbylaura.com

About

I love jewelry and art - I make it and sell it.

I started making jewelry many years ago. I have been selling it in boutiques, and I have friends throw jewelry parties as well. Christmas is always a great jewelry party time.
Then I fell in love with vintage jewelry - both costume and fine.
I began hunting for it and collecting it, and decided to sell it along with my hand made jewelry on Etsy. So I opened up shop on Etsy, and here it is....

I am also an artist and have been painting since I was very young. I am currently adding my paintings to Etsy as well.

Welcome to my jewelry and art store.
I have vintage costume jewelry, as well as vintage fine jewelry for sale.
I also hand make one-of-a-kind contemporary jewelry and paintings.
Please browse through, and feel free to email me with any questions you may have.
I feel that jewelry is an art form, and very often it is really BEAUTIFUL. It can be enjoyed and appreciated like any other piece of art.
For my paintings, I most often use a style called Abstract Impressionism. This is a form where it is not planned, and just happens spontaneously. This is my favorite way to paint, but I will do other abstract styles as well where there is a subject or idea in mind.
I paint with acrylics and often use mixed media along with it. I like incorporating found items, jewelry, painted paper, photos that I take and edit, photos that have been transferred to hand made acrylic sheets, cloth and mesh, gels and resins, transparency film and other items.
I enjoy giving a painting texture and vibrancy.

Shipping prices for clothes and other items may vary, and will be posted with that particular item. I ship first class with insurance and tracking. INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING CAN BE REQUESTED.

International shipping rates will vary upon destination, and I always include insurance. I will also include tracking and delivery or signature confirmation if requested. I will add the international shipping charges to the selling price of the item. The rates will be according to the U.S. Post Office.
You will need to contact me for an international shipping rate.

If I do ship internationally, I will not change the selling price on a customs form.
I reserve the right to refuse service to any buyer.
Refunds and Exchanges
Any item may be returned within 21 days of the purchase date. Items must be returned in the original condition, without damages.
It of course, must be the SAME item that was purchased.
I will not issue a refund for a different item, other than that which was originally purchased by the buyer.
The buyer is responsible for the return shipping fees. Items must be packaged carefully to avoid damages. The original packaging it was sent in may be used for returning the item. It is strongly suggested to insure the item, as I cannot be responsible for damaged or lost items. It is not necessary to add signature confirmation. Insurance and tracking are sufficient.
Please send to the address listed below under Seller Information.
Upon safe arrival of undamaged material, I will issue a full refund.
Additional policies and FAQs
I will do custom orders for my hand made jewelry, as long as it is within my means of operation. For example, I do wire wrapping, but no soldering.
You can always email me with questions, and requests.
Because I do wire wrapping, it is generally more fragile than soldered jewelry. Extra care should be taken with wire wrapped jewelry, and one should not sleep with it on.
Over time, wires can get old and break down, and I will gladly do repairs free of charge. However, if certain items are no longer in stock, I will do my best to replicate, and I will notify if a change needs to be made. Please note that mailing charges to send in a repair item are not covered by me, and the package should be insured, as I cannot be responsible for lost or damaged items. I will send the jewelry back, once repaired, at my cost.

Some of my vintage jewelry pieces are dated, so I can give the precise date of manufacture. However, most pieces are not dated, and my estimates of the age of the piece are only estimates. I do research by company name, style, markings and the various designers (if signed) who worked for these companies (for example, certain designers worked for specific company's within a certain span of time). I also use the types of findings, clasps, ear wires and clips, etc... to help identify the age of the piece. Often, the materials used for the piece can help me to identify its general age. I do the best I can in identifying the age of a piece as is possible within my knowledge.
I use the internet for my research on the age of a piece, and I have some trusted and reliable web sites that I use.
I also use the internet to help me determine my vintage jewelry prices. I will visit several sites with a similar (if not the same) piece, and see what they are charging. I will look at as many as possible to get a general idea, and then stay within that range. I also take into consideration the condition of the jewelry.
As a courtesy, I can make an arrangement to reserve an item for 2 days only. I can write RESERVED on an item, but that still does not guarantee that someone else won't go ahead and purchase it.

My paintings are one-of-a-kind and are not duplicated to be sold as copies. They are copyrighted, and the images on this, or any other website, may not be duplicated without my permission.

I can do a custom painting for someone under certain circumstances which will be discussed per request.
Depending on the request, I may or may not be able to do it.
I prefer to meet with the person and see their home, office or location for the painting, and discuss what would go well with their taste and decor.
