The wayward daisy
My whole life I have been inspired by books with quirky characters and magical worlds. The imperfect characters who stand out from the crowd and who through their unconventional way of thinking and behaving adventure onto paths and situations that inspire us all to be ourselves, to be strong, listen to our hearts and follow our dreams. This to me is the essence of childhood.
I love the idea of creating something that allows little ones to explore their imagination while sweeping them away to imaginary places, making their little minds wander and transforming them into the person they will become.
I inherit my creativity from my great grandmother Dorothy who’s handmade quilts and cross stitches I treasure to this day. My daughter Winnie is now the inheritor of all of this creativity and it makes my heart so full to see her playing with the dolls I hand make for her with so much love.
Finding the perfect textiles and trimmings in antique stores, flea markets and craft stores is just part of the magic that makes each doll as unique and individual as the child who treasures it.
I hope you and your little one enjoy my creations as much as I do!
I believe in long-term customers and in the end I create everything I make for the customer (you) and your enjoyment and I really do cherish and value long-term relationships with my customers.
