Para mi arte de "Pinturas de papel rasgado", pequeños trozos de papeles hechos a mano y pintados a mano, papel de arroz, páginas de libros y mapas, cree la paleta de colores a partir de la cual se crea la imagen. A los papeles se les da un patrón y color por adelantado, pero una vez que la pieza comienza, se basa únicamente en los colores del papel. Estos segmentos se unen para crear la imagen como los puntos de puntillismo crean su pintura.
Cuando no estoy trabajando en estas pinturas de papel, o enseñando un taller sobre la técnica, me encanta experimentar con diferentes medios y materiales.... ya sea otro arte de medios mixtos o ser dibujado para crear piezas de joyería únicas.
For my "Torn Paper Paintings" art, small bits of handmade and hand-painted papers, rice paper, book pages, and maps, create the color palette from which the image is created. The papers are given a pattern and color in advance, but once the piece begins, it relies solely on the colors of the paper. These segments come together to create the image like the dots of pointillism create their painting.
When not working on these Paper Paintings, or teaching a workshop on the technique, I love to experiment with different mediums and materials....whether it be other mixed media art or being drawn to create unique jewelry pieces.
