1 out of 5 starsThis item was shipped late with a slow response from the retailer when I emailed her as to when it would ship. She finally responded it would ship on Saturday but it didn't ship until Monday. The item feels cheap and is smaller than the average kitchen towel. This was my first Etsy transaction and will probably be my last.

4 out of 5 starsI like the coloring and overall layout of the lyric. But I feel like it looks in person as if it was supposed to be a pin. Anyway it's always in my purse. Love lana. Love independent businesses.

About weatherandnoise
Every home tells a story
"Have nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful." This William Morris quote is the philosophy that drives weather&noise. Christine’s journey as a maker began at the hem of her grandmother’s apron. In childhood, making was synonymous with quality time. From those lessons and cherished moments, Christine has built a career and lifestyle out of blending modern life with traditional craftsmanship and ideals. weather&noise was born in 2007 while Christine was pursuing her degree in Interior Architecture & Design. She took a printmaking elective and discovered a passion for textiles and the process of silkscreening. She knew immediately that she wanted to build her livelihood around creating well made, designer home goods, blending her educational background in interior design and her newfound love of printmaking. The weather&noise line includes linen tea towels and kitchen textiles, as well as artwork, bookmarks, + other functional objects.
weather&noise tea towels are designed and made with the intent to foster the American tradition of gathering in the kitchen. These moments, whether with family or entertaining friends, offer more than physical nourishment, but also create timeless memories. Special moments of talking over kneaded dough or simmering ingredients are enduring and our heirloom linen towels enhance + evoke that special environment. Each linen tea towel that leaves our studio is designed and illustrated by Christine, hand printed, dried in the sweet Oklahoma air, and folded and packaged with real human hands; all at an accessible price, enriching the customer experience while practicing ethical manufacturing and using ecofriendly inks. Our linens are designed to fit in any space, from a farmhouse kitchen to an urban apartment. Tea towels are often given as housewarming or hostess gifts, and our linens come packaged in brown paper sleeves and ready for gift giving.
The weather&noise studio is located in the Pearl District on the outskirts of downtown Tulsa. Our studio is located within our retail shop, Made, where we sell weather&noise products, along with the work of 70 other handmade artists. We have retail in the front, and a quaint studio space in the back where we create most of our designs, screenprint, sew, and package. Together with husband Thom, Christine has not only built weather&noise, selling in stores and exhibiting at indie craft shows nationwide, but they plan Indie Emporium, an annual event celebrating and showcasing makers and DIY life and are founders of make:Tulsa, a group that cultivates the Tulsa maker community. They host Tulsa's annual Swap O Rama Rama and Etsy Craft Party. Thom & Christine are also owners/shopkeeps of two retail stores called MADE selling carefully curated handmade goods from makers they’ve met through their travels.
When not creating or planning indie craft events, building displays for her shops, or making things, Christine enjoys occasional blogging (http://www.weatherandnoise.net), baking, reading design blogs, obsessively browsing textiles online, & treasure hunting.
