About

A short history of weavelea...

Leanne Tremblay was raised by a family of DIY fanatics and artists who nurtured her creativity from a young age. She studied textile design and fiber art at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, although her official major was art history. She took a break from creating to attend graduate school at Brown University, but resumed her studio practice shortly thereafter.

In 2007 she purchased her first loom and her life has never been the same.

She currently makes handwoven fashion and home goods including scarves for men and women, cowls, clutch handbags, throw rugs, tea towels, pillows, and sachets of organic lavender and balsam fir. Most pieces are created using reclaimed, locally sourced, or sustainable materials.

When she's not creating, Leanne manages the museum store at the New England Quilt Museum.

Payment
We accept payment through PayPal and Etsy Direct Checkout (Visa, MC, AmEx, Discover). Items will not be shipped until full payment has been received. If payment has not been made within 24 hours of purchase (don't worry, we'll remind you!), the order will be canceled and the item returned to the WEAVELEA shop.
Shipping
Ready-to-ship pieces will ship within 1-3 business days. For custom orders, please reference our conversation for turnaround time.

~DOMESTIC~
All items are shipped by USPS First Class or Priority Mail, which ranges 3-10 days depending on destination. Custom orders and orders over $50 will include shipping confirmation & tracking numbers.

Overnight, first, or second day shipping is available through FedEx Express for an additional fee.

~INTERNATIONAL~
We ship all orders by International First Class. Please allow up to three weeks for your package to arrive, but most packages arrive about a week after shipping.

We are not responsible for the payment of any customs fees, duties, or taxes on international purchases.

Most pieces have international pricing listed, but some of the larger ones are only set up to ship to the US and Canada. If you are outside this area, please send a "message to seller" for a shipping quote.
Refunds and Exchanges
~RETURNS~
Returns will only be accepted on unworn pieces within 21 days of purchase. Please read our descriptions carefully and note the dimensions of each piece before purchasing. Sometimes the color or texture of a piece doesn't translate well through photography. If the piece you ordered doesn't match your coat exactly or doesn't look right with your skin tone, we will happily accept your return! The client is responsible for all shipping costs and will only be refunded the original purchase price of the item.

~EXCHANGES~
Stockpiling holiday or birthday gifts? Don't fret! Refunds will be excepted within 21 days of purchase, but exchanges will be accepted on unworn pieces within 90 days. Exchanges will receive shop credit once the item has been returned. Since postage can't be returned, the client is responsible for all shipping costs and will only be credited the original purchase price of the item. Consider this our version of a "gift receipt."

~REPAIRS~
Dog ate your pillow? Scarf got stuck in the car door? We will gladly repair any items that suffer during the course of wear and tear, provided that the client assume shipping costs. A nominal repair fee will be charged. Please contact us for a quote!
