A little modern. A little boho. A lot like home.
I've always been torn when trying to decorate my space. I dream of that ultra-modern, clean line, copper pipe, and brick loft with expansive windows and nearly empty floors. At the same time, I dream of the cozy, eclectic, full of layers and experience - and memories - cottage with a million plants.
I used to think I had to choose one or the other to, you know... be just like the catalogs.
Finding myself on the receiving end of a longline layoff [had nearly a year's notice], I started ramping up my graphic design efforts and signed up on every version of Fiverr possible. But it wasn't me. I was beyond exclusively working with pixels. I wanted a life worth grabbing and this wasn't it.
I sat down with myself and took stock. Biggest ownership: Life is what you make it.
And so, in late 2017, I stepped away from my laptop and picked up weaving and macrame.
My hands flew threw yards and yards of warp string in complete joy. I endlessly research and experiment with new techniques, and look to the masters for inspiration.
And in this, I realized something:
Life is what you make it, and so is your home.
So, clean lines and boho vibes. Modern simplicity with cozy, earthy elements. Handcrafted and super functional.
