Debbie, your painting arrived today & it is so beautiful... The texture, the colors - I absolutely love it! Thanks so much. I am seeking out the perfect spot to hang it.

About

Heart Centered Inspiring Artist

I believe working with your hands is a necessity. Not only is it a creative outlet, it fulfills my need to reach my roots & feel like I have something to offer, feel like I've done something. A lot of that has been lost with the times. Especially if you work in an office or if you're stuck at home for some reason.

When I work with clay I'm taken to a different meditative place than when I'm drawing or painting, because it's so involved. When you prepare the clay you, have to smash it down & push it into itself. Then you start to be more direct with your movement & intention and start to move with the clay as you shape and mold it. It's really a beautiful thing.

Making something tangible from a thought or feeling in your mind is so special.

I am compelled to create. I love to be creatively engaged. I've brought my passion for art into jewelry because I believe you should be able to take a beautiful drawing or sculpture everywhere you go, wearing it to compliment how you are feeling or how you want to feel. Every piece is special, just like you.

Additional policies and FAQs
My pmc silver pieces are crafted from Precious Metal Clay, a medium that requires a multi step process. I hand roll, cut & sculpt the silver clay. It is dried, sanded, fired in my kiln or by torch and then tumbled. I antique my pieces by hand using liver of sulfur and gilders paste for added color and drama. I then hand polish and touch up the antiquing if suitable for the design. The end result is a completely hand made, rustic feeling and dimensional piece of PMC jewelry.

My wax modeled and casted silver pieces are designed & sculpted by hand. The wax piece is sent out to a local casting company in NJ which makes a mold and casts my design in a limited run. I then finish each piece in my studio: file, tumble, hand patina, polish, lacquer.

I do not offer consignment or participate in trades.
