Coming Home
Something was missing after I finished college. After graduating with a degree in fashion design, I quickly figured out the fashion industry was not for me, and had no idea what to do next. Then a complicated thing called life happened...I got married, had kids and was consumed by all that family life entails. But somewhere in the back of my mind remained some nostalgia for my favorite college class. I had taken "Images on Fabrics" during my one year as an art major, a had fallen in love with the process of apply color to fabric. Seventeen years later I finally picked up fabric dyeing again, and it was like coming home! Now, with my kiddos in school there is more time for artistic endeavors, YAY! So now I spend my days drawing and painting, and getting splattered with dye. It's a lovely mess, and I'm so excited to be sharing my work with you on Etsy!

Besides painting on silk, I also love to sew and crochet! I find joy and inspiration in my backyard mini-orchard and herb garden. Spending time in nature refreshes me, but when I'm too busy to get out I drink herbal tea from my garden.
