About WheelhausNeedlepoint
Grandmillennial needlepoint designer, painter and stitcher who’s guilty of the RSF (Resting Stitch Face).
My background has always been as a creative—I have my parents to thank for that! I majored in Graphic Design and minored in Fine Arts throughout my two-timed college experience. My range of creativity spans from ceramics and oils to the funner things like graphic design, interior design, and needlepoint! It's in my Wheelhaus!
My journey through textiles and paint have always sort of intertwined themselves in my life. I like to say that I found the hobby years ago through my textile genetics and through the search of finding something tedious and meticulous, yet stress relieving.
I largely started designing canvases because my then fiancé told me to put the phone down, stop watching the news, and find a hobby during the pandemic. Fortunately, I already knew a very expensive hobby and got back into needlepointing. Due to the limits that we were in during the pandemic and not being able to reach a LNS I started painting canvas designs for myself! They say that necessity breeds invention—here we are! I found my dream side job and my tribe within this grow community. I have never found a group of individuals so willing to help and support one another.
All of Wheelhaus Needlepoint’s canvas designs illustrate northeast coastal and southern charm with a tinge of cheekiness. “Oh nauti-nauti!” Whether you are traveling to your ”happy place” destination, or needlepointing on the couch, binge watching your favorite TV series with a huge glass of wine, I hope you love your purchase as much as I loved painting it and becomes a staple in your household generations to come.
Happy stitching!

Frequently asked questions
Why the long lead time?
The canvases are made to order! Meaning once I receive your order I meticulously hand-paint and map out where every stitch of your thread will land. Sometimes pieces take only an hour to create, while some may take a few days. While most times I can gauge the timeframe for a piece, I am also reliant on canvas delivery time from my supplier and the amount of orders I receive!
Why are needlepoint canvases so expensive?
Needlepoint canvases that are sold in this store are "hand-painted" which means that each canvas is painted one at a time with a paintbrush and customized paints. The amount of time this takes means the canvas will cost more. Think of it like getting paid by the hour. The longer you work at a job the more it costs the person paying you. While the canvas and supplies aren’t really the key factor to why the canvases cost so much it’s the talent, quality of work, and time that a designer or artist puts into the work!
Are our pieces customizable?
Please DM us with inquiries! We will be able to tell you if it doable or not!
My canvas looks different than what I purchased on the screen, why?
Resolutions change from screen to screen. We use professional photography to ensure colors on canvases are represented as accurately as possible on screen; however, due to settings, custom paints, and different resolutions colors can appear differently on screen vs. in person.
