About

It all started when I was 6-years-old . . .

In the first grade, every student in our class entered a contest depicting the “Joy of Reading.” I drew the picture shown above (and that’s me when I was in 1st grade).
More than 100,000 students (from 1st to 12th grade) all over the country entered the contest and of those, 41 honorees were chosen to be exhibited at the Capital Children’s Museum in Washington D.C. Mine was one of them. I was over the moon excited, to say the least.
It was then I knew I wanted to create. I spent countless hours drawing. By that point, I had also discovered the magic of books and soon started writing my own.
At an early age, I knew I wanted to be a writer and artist, but I got derailed along the way because it didn’t seem like a realistic career path. I ended up doing different jobs and at the age of 30, after having my son and writing and illustrating a book for him, I decided I should stop wasting time and pursue my passions.
So here I am. I opened my Etsy store, I'm making art totes, writing a middle grade novel, working on 2 picture books, and trying out new and exciting art mediums (like paper art). I hope to get a book published in the future and to be able to make art for a living. We’ll see where this crazy journey takes me.
By buying from my Etsy Shop you are helping me get a step closer to reaching my dreams.

I'm a writer, illustrator, and paper art enthusiast. I make all the products listed in my shop. I take inspiration from the whimsical and strange. I also handle all the behind-the-scenes work involved with running an Etsy shop.

Sebastián keeps me company, inspires me, and makes me smile. He also likes making a mess and throwing temper tantrums here and there - he does it only to keep me on my toes. He's also the reason why I decided to lead a creative life.

  • Elena

Elena helps me by keeping me company, offering me lots of sweet smiles of encouragement when I need them, and being a huge inspiration for my artwork. She is very thoughtful and lets me get lots of work done.

    Brighton, MI

They make the totes and print my designs on the totes. I decide where I want the placement of my art on the tote.
